not to be barbie but how do you guys cope with the growing sense of dread that the world is legitimately going to end in our lifetimes and everything you know and love will collapse into chaos

A phenomenon I call “The Cheapening of America” and you see it in clothes, toys, houses, cars…all of it. More “features” which you can market and less quality which is harder to sell and less valuable when people are replacing everything more frequently. Consumers gon’ consume!

The difference in quality btwn the clothes I bought a decade ago and the clothes I’m buying now is unbelievable. I have stuff - not expensive stuff, just things like leggings - I bought 12 years ago and still looks new. Then I have stuff I bought 2 years ago that’s falling apart.

If you want to see a scientist who's profoundly upset about the implications of his work, watch this 50-sec. clip from Michael Dettinger's Tyndall lecture at @theAGU meeting.

I earned a degree at 33, I'm just now making over 6 figures and building my first home at 36. Social media will have you believing that you're a failure at 25 if you haven't achieved these things that I'm just now getting. Walk your own path, it'll come.🙏🏾

Fucking sick of going on hero's journeys. Nothing I hate less than attempting to go home only to find the journey has changed me so fundamentally that I can no longer return

Imposter syndrome will have you delaying tasks that could literally transform your life all because you’re not ready to face the reality that is your greatness. It’s so weird. I hate it here.
