You don’t need Power Cleans to become explosive I took them out years ago and our program only improved Here's a free guide on why and how to train Power without Cleans With a sample week Do these to get it: 1. Follow me 2. Retweet this 3. Comment "POWER" below I'll DM it

I’m so glad you think so. The far-sighted engineering profs and the amazing facilities staff at @Cornell have been working toward this for decades. The research is important, and I guess I still feel like it’s a long shot, but I’m rooting for it to work. #CUBO #DDU

Finished our 3 km deep borehole observatory for deep direct use geothermal, via enhanced geothermal system technology. A living lab partnership with @CornellEng and facilities staff. Now characterizing the fractures at the top of the crystalline basement. csmonitor.com/Environment/20…

Reference paragraph one on Cornell electric power: we do not produce "240 MW per year". We produce about 244,000 MWh electric per year. Averaging about a continuous 28 MW. And Earth Source Heat is for thermal heating, not electric power.

This NREL study on net zero by 2035 presents a great case for why we are working so hard on geothermal. Reductions in geothermal cost take geothermal from 8 GW to 100s of GW and make a zero carbon system way more doable. nrel.gov/news/program/2022/e…

Cornell just completed drilling 3 kilometers to study the potential for deep direct use geothermal heat in our district heating system. Whew! That was, and still is, an experience... See the graphic of drilling progression and learn about the geology. deepgeothermalheat.engineeri…
Cornell, as first time owner-operator of a drill site, drilled for ~2 months through sedimentary rock and into the crystalline bedrock. 3 kilometes deep. Now testing to find a heat resevoir to demonstrate geothermal deep direct use for district heating. earthsourceheat.cornell.edu/

Great thread on Cornell Engineering alum Willis Carrier---inventor of air conditioning. @CarrierAtHome
On July 17, 1902, Willis Carrier – one year after graduating from @CornellEng – designed the world’s first air conditioning system. In honor of @Carrier’s 120th anniversary, learn more about this ❄️cool❄️ invention that would go on to fundamentally change the world. ⬇️

Drill rig is up for the @Cornell Earth Source Heat project. If successful, this 10k foot hole will heat campus, largely enable Cornell to be carbon neutral, and reduce 7% of the county’s greenhouse gas emissions. Exciting!
