Had a great conversation with @Nizhsn and @benredd yesterday. We are all getting tired of talking about forensic audits, but it's important to document the details so we don't forget. Banking secrecy is a secondary issue at this point. The problem is there's no will to cooperate.
Episode 95 is out now! @Nizhsn & @benredd are joined by @AzarsTweets, NERD and finance professional, to talk the ins and outs of the postponed forensic audit of BDL, Lebanon's central bank (with honorable mention of the๐) ๐๏ธ soundcloud.com/lebpoliticspoโฆ

Indictments in the #BeirutBlast probe are set to be limited to low/mid-level officials charged with "willful negligence," judicial sources say.
This carries a maximum sentence of 5 years in prison.
No top pol/security officials are officially suspects.
