Excited to finally share Origins TCG, a game I've been working on for the past year! It's been an absolute blast helping bring this game to life, and I'm excited for everyone to see what we've been creating!

It’s time to make my first and hopefully last public apology.
I apologize for trying to paint @koingamesio & @origins_tcg as something we're not, and myself as something I'm not.
•Koin is not a AAA studio with a giant team and budget. Koin Games IS an indie studio filled with a passionate team of competitors, collectors, and builders.
•Origins is not our third or fifth hit game together. It's our 1st game as a studio (though many on the Koin team have built hit games together before), and it's the game we believe the genre and the players deserve: the 1st Free-2-Compete TCG with digital cards you actually own.
•And I am not an experienced CEO. I am a 1st-time founder who, after 15+ years of building one of the largest sales teams in tech, left it all and risked the millions I saved to build something I believed in.
The truth is that building Origins has been by far the hardest thing I've ever done. Partly because it's my first time, partly because good games are extremely difficult to build, and partly because we are trying to do something that has never been done before.
Now, after 4+ years of building, failing, pivoting, failing, and pivoting again, things are finally starting to look pretty good (1M+ trailer views, 16,000+ demo downloads, 97% positive on Steam, almost 200 creators in our community). All thanks to not giving up, the incredible team we have, and, frankly, thanks to YOU!
So thank you to every player, collector, and creator who has supported us over the last 4 years. We wouldn't be here without you, and over the next few months we will need you and many others more than ever!
To finish, I don't believe an apology means anything unless you make a real change…
So from now on, I'm committing to talking about the wins, the challenges, and the mistakes. And I commit to asking for more help from the people we are building for. Starting now.
So if you're a fan of fair competition, real collecting, or just backing indie teams, here are a few ways you can help…
Play Origins, invite friends or enemies, back the Alpha Edition Kickstarter (Oct 27th), make some content, heck, even share this post, or simply follow along as we try to change competitive gaming and collecting forever!
Oh and in the spirit of building in public, here is my real face.
I’m proud to share that a game I designed has made its way to Target shelves today! Working on this game alongside Stoneblade Entertainment was an incredible journey. I’m grateful for the opportunity and will cherish the memories forever. Congratulations @StoneBladeEnt
Quick 7 wins. Don’t worry about playing all your good cards. Step 1 is to not fall behind and step 2 is to let your 2-1’s take over the game. Good mana is part of that, follow your dual lands. Don’t be down a card you can’t cast or throw yourself off curve due to color issues.

"Many people are asking my thoughts on why this is happening so..."
No they aren't. I just woke up, am pissed off that my foot hurts from running, and feel like answering this question, so I'm gonna answer it.
Steve, you rule and apologies in advance if this somehow fucks up your day
As my last hoorah at WotC, I had the pleasure to lead Dominaria Remastered. Lots of feelings, I hope you get to play and enjoy!
Qualifying for the next PT was fun and all, but it was especially nice to see all my old friends again. To me, there’s no Magic without the gathering. I hope to see more of you soon.
The dealers don’t have enough cards to scrape together a deck, anyone have a backup deck? Please do me.
I’m unSnappable @MARVELSNAP

I’m invincible
Yeah, I win every single game
Really happy seeing how many people are enjoying Dominaria United draft. I was on early set design for this one and really loved working on that team. Also thanks to @ErikLauer for getting to be under your wing for a bit and @Reggie_Valk who is an underrated superstar.
Remember when you were growing up and Michael Jordan was your idol and you couldn’t play as him in any basketball games?
Hearing I was one of the standout memories to someone’s favorite tournament from 14 years ago made my day, and is a good reminder for who I was, am, and want to be. Thanks for sharing.

GP Philly 2008. We drove down with a good sized group. I left my shoes at home so I wore slippers the whole weekend. Don’t remember much from the event other than I lost to my extended end-boss @bennybeatdowns in the Swiss.
Today is my last day as #WOTCstaff and no I’m not leaving due to the exciting OP announcement, but it doesn’t hurt. See you at the tables :)

Many of you knew Eric. He unexpectedly passed away while on a hike and leaves behind 3 kids, all in grade school. If you can, please share and/or donate as we try to do what we can for his children through this difficult time.
