What we know so far: Shooting call came in shortly before 10am at Ingraham High School. Only one victim has been found, 17-year old male shot multiple times near the cafeteria transported to HMC. No other reported injuries.

Key tweet from a great thread (and do read the full blog post). The baseline one uses to calculate excess deaths can have a *large* impact on the resulting death toll, and can totally upturn country comparisons.

The choice of measure for expected deaths makes a huge difference. Under the WHO approach, excess mortality in Germany (11%) was close to twice that in Sweden (6%). But under the linear trend, excess mortality in Sweden (9%) is three times that in Germany (3%).
