‘COYOTE VS ACME’ has passed ‘SUPERGIRL’ to become the highest-grossing movie produced by Warner Bros this Summer. The film was almost permanently deleted by Warner Bros for a tax write-off.

EXCLUSIVE: Could Jed Mercurio be about to take control of the TARDIS? Deadline can reveal that the 'Line of Duty' showrunner is spearheading a bid to produce 'Doctor Who' after the BBC launched a competitive tender, a bake-off-style process in which producers have put forward plans to regenerate the iconic sci-fi series. Or could the TARDIS soon be spinning its way to Scotland? Deadline is told STV Studios, the production group behind 'Blue Lights' and 'Criminal Record,' has made an audacious bid to move the show north of the English border for Season 17. Got the new issue of @DWMtweets today. Fantastic interview with Anneke Wills by Benjamin Cook! What a fascinating insight it gives into Anneke's life and her time on Doctor Who as Polly, companion to the First and Second Doctors from 1966-1967. #DoctorWho

The BBC is the corporation. BBC Studios is a production company. The BBC has a policy of putting programmes out to tender so production companies can bid to make them. This helps the BBC secure the best possible value. BBC Studios will be one of several companies bidding.
