Hearing people cry out, “Lahat kayo ninakawan… tapos pinroprotektahan niniyo ang mag-nanakaw??” broke me. It’s not just fury, it’s heartbreak. We are screaming into a system that never listen, while it shields the very ones who rob us blind.
'MAY PERMIT BA ANG PAGNANAKAW? WALA! '
A verbal altercation broke out between Tacloban City police and food delivery riders who were blocked from joining a larger rally at the city's freedom park.
The rally, organized by the multisectoral group Leyte Aksyon Laban sa Korapsyon, aimed to highlight issues such as corruption in flood control projects and unresolved problems in Yolanda rehabilitation. | via Miriam Desacada/The Philippine STAR

PH middle class loves the ‘good protester’: polite, well-dressed, articulate. Dunking on those who don’t fit simply because they're "too dugyot" is fucking matapobre hypocrisy.
Protest should echo the language of real struggle. If justice includes cheaper fishball, then so be it.

GURLLLLL corruption itself is violence, why are we still arguing whether violence on a protest is necessary when literally we are fighting the rich, the powerful, and the armed forces who never listens on peaceful protests?

Cops are an active oppressive tool of the government and should never be given any less grace than what the ruling class deserves which is none at all

and let’s be real, psychology and the entire mental health sector remain some of the most chronically underfunded areas in the philippines. facilities are far too scarce, often inaccessible to those who need them most, and the few that do exist are under-resourced and overburdened. mental health workers are stretched thin and services remain a privilege rather than a right.
dito sa cebu, for instance, the city health department’s mental health unit has been calling for increased funding just to keep up with the rising number of walk in patients. they lack enough counseling rooms and trained mental health professionals because the demand for psychological support has far outpaced the resources available.
