Weed-IT owners - what boom type do you have? Main tank size? Any tips, pros and cons or things you would do differently if setting up again? Thanks!
Beans on irrigation, completely rainfall fed. Extraordinary result & much needed given water price above the $ needed for a ROI all year. Harvest is going to be fun with them as tall as me in patches and some laying down 🫠 at least pods start at a good height up the stalk.
Inspired by @Dirtwork1972 to dig some plants out for the kids to enter in the show today!

After 2 years of learning CAD & 3D printing, I've developed a passion for solving simple on farm problems with practical solutions and have spent the past few months working towards launching my own online business, ARES Agri Solutions. Excited to finally have the website live!
First up are my QuickChem Gauges, designed to make marking chemical removal volumes on IBCs and enviro drums quick and easy.
More products will come in time as I keep developing new ideas. My SeedSmart system is also on the website for a look, but isn't available to order just yet.
Have a look and let me know what you think!, reposts appreciated

Politicians are not serving Victorians and our state is falling apart. Send a message and get to the rally on Friday!
Spray miss in the corner showing the value of a flag leaf fungicide application on this Tomahawk wheat. Not much green leaf left!
Forever telling my kids to go look at the good crop’s while we have them! The Mallee is looking absolutely magic this year. For perspective this our 9yo in our 2026 wheat vs the wheat we were salvaging for hay in 2018 when she was 1.
What a ride farming is 🌱

Hay season is proving difficult in this super El Niño year! More rain forecast, on already wet soil. Looking to leave these Yallara oats for grain. Massive bulky crop, any ideas of upper end grain yield potential for yallara? TIA

Time is up for the oaten hay, always seems to come around fast! Think it’s going to be a slow job mowing this one down. Profile is not empty yet so we will carry some deep moisture into 2027 as well - bonus from early end to hay! 🌱
Ryegrass is a master at adapting to its circumstances. The rye in our lawn pushes its seed heads nearly horizontal to try and avoid the lawnmower. Great reminder on why we need to always mix up our weed control strategies to stay one step ahead! No horizontal rye in the paddock😬

Looking for a Chaser Bin driver to help out this harvest.
Late model 8R.
I know, like everyone else, but X has come up with the goods before so giving it a go.
Reposts /or leads appreciated.
Neo head L vs Bigfoot head R. Harder to pick difference side by side (Bigfoot L vs Neo R) but Neo looks to have the edge 🌱
If the state of our roads reflects the state of Vic currently then the Swan Hill-Quambatook Rd is not painting a good picture. We have pot holes back in sections of it that were only resurfaced a couple of months ago 🤯 defeats the purpose of making this bit dual lane really
Checking on the floodwater and crops sitting on a full bucket at the end of August - 78mm for the month, 430mm YTD 😳 Saving these crops in the memory bank. So much mud but also so much potential! Not what we expected back in Feb with a dry profile & El Niño forecast.
Phenology. Neo barley sown 27th April and Tomahawk wheat sown 1st May, basically same growth stage. Magic day in the Mallee. You can hear the crops growing today. Soaking up all that green & the sun 🌱☀️

Weedsmart Week, Griffith NSW.
Some would say the best one yet 😉.
Massive thanks to all our speakers and farm hosts, many who went out of their comfort zone to share insights into their farming systems.
