It also means that, if you are interested in taking any of the part-time courses at Juno to pick up a new skill or kick-start a new career, I can help by getting you $100 off when you enroll! Just mention ‘JunoBecky’ when registering and you’ll get the discount 🎉
2: I recently partnered with @junocollege as a #JunoAmbassador yay!! That means I would love to talk to you about learning code, making career changes, job hunting, starting a new job remotely during a pandemic, being a creative working in tech etc etc!
2 personal updates 🙂 1: I started a new job this week! This will be my 3rd job working in tech. It’s so cool to look back at how far I’ve come since writing my first line of code only 2 years ago!!
I think crying at work might actually be worse remotely. IRL others can see you are getting overwhelmed and need a moment to collect yourself, but on a call your voice just gets all weird from trying not to show it or you just go silent cause you can't speak without crying 🙃😅
But anyway, I wanted to share this because I'm super proud and I love this music and all of the people who play on the recording and also I designed the cover so that's cool too!!!
After seeing the process of creating this EP from start to finish, the amount of time, work, and money that goes into making music is.. SO MUCH. I can't believe we get to stream anything we want for a $9.99 monthly subscription and the artist gets practically nothing from it
On the first Friday of every month (like today!) in 2020 since March, Bandcamp is waiving their revenue share which means the artist receives 100% of the revenue from their sales that day. Without being able to play live shows, this pandemic has been, like, terrible for musicians
Today my boyfriend released his first album, 'Apropos of Nothing'!! If you're into jazz or even just enjoy listening to instrumental stuff while working, you should give it a listen🎷You can purchase it here billkervin.bandcamp.com/rele… or stream everywhere!
My main concern is will it be like skiing with a balaclava when your breath makes it all steamy and then it freezes and you have a wet frozen thing on your face??
If your job is to write html & css, you ARE a front end developer!!!! Apparently I still have to say this!
Today a coworker (also a developer, on the same project as me) asked me if I'd ever be interested in becoming a developer. Excuse me while I try not to read into this too much 😐
As of today I have been at my first full-time dev job for 1⃣ year! Really pleased to have made it this far and I'm excited to see how my career evolves from here 😌
Woohoo!! 🤩
