Guess what? You don’t have to code this weekend. You are allowed to take breaks and build no cool shit 🙌🏼

Not everyone has the same tech career strategy. Some people just want to get a bag so they can enjoy life. Some people want to influence the industry as a thought leader. Some people want to create cutting edge business ideas that shake things up. All things are amazing and valid

Wordle 218 3/6 - lucky guess ftw 🟨⬜⬜⬜⬜ 🟨⬜⬜⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
On the weekends, I like sitting on the couch to code but I hate not having a 2nd monitor. Today, I just realized I could use the TV as 2nd screen and I'm cursing myself why I didn't think of this before. Peak comfort, 💯 recommended.

I think we called that getSnow() function a few too many times.

jQuery doesn’t get a lot of love anymore, but it allowed a generation of devs to build dynamic sites across different browsers. So HBD 🥳

This is all to give a friendly reminder that UX really matters.

A little extra space, lining up the radio buttons and making the info more concise would have saved countless pharmacy staff from saying the same thing over and over again. You may say ppl should read more closely but imagine your sick/worried/stressed you might have covid.

Last week, I was waiting for antigen results at Shoppers and somehow I got a lesson in UX. The staff kept telling ppl to select “walk-in” on the QR form and almost every person went back up to the counter and said there is no option for “walk-in” because the form looked like this

Who else is excited to finally crack into that new planner you bought months ago? 🤚

I ordered a standing desk in October and each month, they send me exactly one piece of the desk. I feel like I’m in that episode of The Office where Michael sends Dwight pieces to a nutcracker every day and I’m thinking of different ways to assemble the random pieces.

This is the first weekend of the summer that I have no obligations and it feels so freeing just to chill out ✌️

Side note: this is just what worked best for me, if you are learning react and javascript at the same time and you feel you are improving - keep going! There is no one way to learn.
I'm returning to React after almost a year and I will say it makes 1000x more sense after spending so much time learning javascript fundamentals. Before I thought everything was special to React but now I can really see how it is built with the best of ES6 D-20 - #100DaysOfCode

I just cleaned out my inbox and went from 2500+ emails down to 6. And unsubscribed to over 40 subscriptions. I have that same high as when I clean my entire house and everything is spotless.

I get overwhelmed with all the things I want to learn so I made up this exercise to help me focus. I wanted to recognize: 1️⃣ what I know 2️⃣ where I want to be 3️⃣ what I'm interested in 4️⃣ what companies are hiring for It helped! Now diving into react!✨ D19 - #100DaysOfCode
