PEC
@PedernalesCoop3 Feb 2023
PEC employees are working to restore power, and crews from across the state and country are joining our restoration efforts. We are seeing a high volume of isolated outages, as well as downed lines and poles, making it difficult to estimate restoration times.

Since midnight, we've responded to 90+ accidents, including 3 w/our own units! There were also 2 fires this a.m., both caused by space heaters. Please, STAY HOME AND OFF THE ROADS, give space heaters plenty of space, never use your oven to stay warm, and keep generators outside.

If you've got questions about the boil water notice, please check these FAQ's. There's also a map where you can check to see if your address is still under a boil water notice or if your tap water is safe for consumption: austintexas.gov/boilh2o

This map shows how the water system is currently performing. Each zone is an area experiencing outages (red) or low pressure (orange). The goal is for each zone to get to green again, where the system is operating normally & the boil water notice can be lifted.

I really enjoyed writing this tweetstorm about making a teleprompter, so I'm going to starting doing behind-the-scenes breakdowns of things I've built every Friday morning!

I've recently been doing a bunch of live conference talks via Zoom, and thought it would be fun to go all-out on hacking together a teleprompter that… 🕹 controls the slides, 📽 camera angles, 🚀 demos 🚦 and lights 📝 all via Dropbox Paper Here’s how I built it ⬇️🧵⬇️
