¿Cómo puede la sociedad civil contribuir a construir democracias más resilientes? El 19 de noviembre de 2026, la Fundación EU-LAC, el @TecdeMonterrey y la @UNAM_FCPyS reunirán en la Ciudad de México a representantes de la sociedad civil, el sector público y la academia en el foro «El rol de la sociedad civil en la resiliencia democrática: Aportes desde el espacio EU-LAC». Un espacio de diálogo para compartir experiencias entre América Latina y el Caribe y la Unión Europea, reflexionar sobre los retos de la participación ciudadana e intercambiar estrategias y buenas prácticas para fortalecer el espacio cívico ante las presiones que afronta la democracia. On 19 November 2026, the EU-LAC Foundation, Tecnológico de Monterrey and the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) will bring together representatives from civil society, the public sector and academia in Mexico City for the forum “The role of civil society in democratic resilience: contributions from the EU-LAC perspective”. The forum will provide a space for dialogue and the exchange of experiences between Latin America and the Caribbean and the European Union, exploring the challenges facing civic participation and sharing strategies and good practices to strengthen civic space in the face of growing pressures on democracy. 📚🌍 ¿Cómo fortalecer la asociación estratégica entre la UE y América Latina y el Caribe? Este viernes, 6 de noviembre, se presentará en el @ucm_icei el libro “Arquitectura birregional. This Friday, 6 November, the book “Bi-regional architecture – The European Union and Latin America in the era of the Global Gateway initiative” will be presented at the Complutense Institute for International Studies, in the framework of the 30th Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government. 💬 Anna Barrera, Director of Programmes at the EU-LAC Foundation, will participate virtually in the discussion to present the main findings of her chapter, which examines the Foundation's role in strengthening the biregional strategic partnership and its contribution to fostering dialogue, trust and cooperation among diverse stakeholders. 📖 The publication, developed within the framework of the Jean Monnet Module at Universidad Austral, examines the evolution of EU-LAC relations, the challenges facing their institutional architecture and the opportunities to promote more inclusive and sustainable cooperation in the context of Global Gateway.
