INDONESIAN STOCKS ARE CRASHING:
The Jakarta Composite Index cratered -11.6% on Friday and another -3.6% on Monday, taking its two-session loss to nearly -15%, marking one of its steepest 2-day declines on record.
The index has wiped out ~$350 billion in market value since January.
This comes as MSCI warned it could downgrade Indonesia directly from Emerging Market to Standalone status, citing opaque shareholding structures, suspected coordinated trading, and weak enforcement, raising concerns about market integrity and the risk of massive index-driven outflows.
Meanwhile, foreign investors have already dumped -$5.1 billion of Indonesian equities so far in 2026, while foreign holdings have fallen from ~$250 billion to $130 billion.
As a result, Indonesia’s weight in the MSCI Emerging Markets index has shrunk from 1.16% to just 0.39%.
Indonesia is at risk of a prolonged financial crisis.

🪢 CoreWeave’s five-year CDS spreads topped 1,100 basis points last week after its shares fell more than 15% on October 14 and its unsecured bond yields briefly exceeded 15%. That is pricing normally reserved for distressed credits, and it arrived while investment-grade spreads sat near 0.8% and Google-backed developer bonds traded 27 to 76 basis points over.
The market reacted this sharply because of how the buildout is paid for. In the first half, CoreWeave generated about $3.66 billion of operating cash flow against $14.12 billion of capex, and debt markets covered the difference. A borrower funded this way depends on refinancing windows staying open, and AI-related investment-grade deals above $3 billion fell to zero between September and mid-October.
Meanwhile the banks arranging that financing are collecting the rewards. AI transactions generated more than half of year-to-date investment-banking fee growth, so intermediaries get paid well before the weakest borrower in the chain is tested.
📥 This week’s WEFC works through CoreWeave’s implied default probability under several recovery-rate assumptions and what past funding cycles in telecom and shale suggest about how fast refinancing windows close. It also covers the oil-driven CPI rebound behind our call for a December Fed hike, and what TSMC and ASML guidance implies for chip capacity through 2028.

THIS IS MIND-BLOWING:
The 3x leveraged long US semiconductor ETF, $SOXL, posted +$6.1 BILLION in inflows this week, the largest weekly intake EVER.
This is DOUBLE the previous weekly record inflow set in June this year.
This brings month-to-date inflows into $SOXL up to +$5.1 billion, on track for its 2nd-biggest monthly inflows ever recorded.
Meanwhile, $SOXL prices dropped -33% this week, its largest weekly decline since March 2025.
The level of speculation in this market is insane.

We estimate $414 billion in overall AI ARR by the end of this year (ex-China)
1. $187 billion in ARR from Anthropic and OpenAI (split between the labs and clouds who resell their models).
2. We estimate that ad-based ARRs for the two internet giants - Meta and Google - have been boosted by $95 billion over the past 2.5 years thanks to AI (based on the excess of their realized, high ad growth rates vs normalized growth rates). We estimate that this will increase to $108 billion by year end.
3. The various clouds - excluding frontier lab revenue - should be about $66 billion in AI ARR by the end of this year.
4. AI native apps and SaaS are generating $33 billion in AI revenue.
5. Smaller line items such as other frontier AI (Grok, Gemini subscriptions, etc.) and how AI is benefitting other ad networks (such as Amazon, Applovin, Unity, etc.) add another $20 billion in ARR.
Taking reasonable assumptions, such as a 6 year life for the equipment, this should give an overall 12% IRR on the $931 billion in AI capex made over the past 3.5 years.

Global sovereign debt markets are blowing up as governments across the world run huge deficits.
Meaning they're all competing for the same global capital, which is increasingly demanding higher yields.
None of these governments can afford them.
Rising yields + an inability to pay them = bullish for gold.
We don't own enough gold for what's coming.

A former U.S. Treasury official just made a remarkable observation about China:
“China has been much better at hiding its dollars than it’s been about getting out of the dollar.”
Now consider something else.
Nobody outside Beijing knows exactly how much gold China really holds.
A U.S. Treasury official has acknowledged that uncertainty to me in the past.
This is a massive story.
I will have more on this in the weeks ahead.
