pointing out that the @bcgreencaucus offered to keep6 (politically) for the @BCNDPCaucus and bring the @BCLiberalCaucus to work together right now to expand real accessible #SafeSupply and the government said no we'd rather let thousands die

I get the importance of having safe supply for opioids but mean while stimulant users are still dying due to very limited access to safer stimulants which only generic Dexedrine or Ritalin is available with coverage. We need stimulants like Desoxyn to support stimulant users

But this is a more aggressive step in targeting people who are congregating downtown, with the city planning to amend bylaws to make it easier to arrest/evict people for open drug use, setting up tents, defecating or engaging in 'nuisance' behaviour cbc.ca/news/canada/british-c…

WAIT YOU TESTED ILLICIT DRUGS, BC GOVERNMENT

ALT Testing of cannabis seized from illicit retailers in B.C. has found that many samples contained contaminants that would not be allowed in the legal cannabis market. “My message to people who choose to consume cannabis is simple: buy from legal sellers whose regulated product is subject to national requirements that are in place to protect you,” said Mike Farnworth, Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General. “In addition to the potential health risks, if you buy illegal cannabis, you could also be supporting organized criminal operations that pose a danger to our communities.”

Opioid substitutes that separate people from the toxic street supply could save lives, especially in a worsening poisoned drug crisis.
Why do these treatments remain inaccessible to the vast majority of B.C.’s opioid-dependent people?

if six people died every day in april, you can assume more people are dying now. they dont say anything at the public health emergency briefings because they think you don't care as much as they dont care. they are making you complicit in #SocialMurder

Is it a suicide mission when people have no choice? No readily available options? Do people choose bathtub gin when there is Tanqueray or Bombay available? Regulated supply will change the world as we know it. People need a choice. No one chooses death. #deathbypolicy #cdnpoli

Isn’t it a suicide mission now to take what are almost certainly poisoned drugs? Even if given a safe supply, addicted ppl will still use the risky drugs because they’ll be even cheaper and more plentiful—and the hunt and the risk are also highly addictive.
