I ran from a mass shooting today with my two little girls in my arms. We got separated from my wife. We hid behind a car and then sheltered in the apartment of some good Samaritans for 5 hours watching swat teams from the windows. At least 5 people killed and 16 others taken to the hospital in shooting at the Fourth of July parade in Highland Park, Illinois. An event, it should be noted, that was full of police who didn’t stop the shooting and still haven’t caught the shooter. Cops don’t keep us safe.
