A wild Klipp has appeared. 📹 The camera toolkit for the web by @kvvasuu is the latest coming out of the camera initiative.
Data-oriented, composable and performant, this is built to provide custom camera solutions with familiar abstractions out of the box based on Unity’s CinemaMachine.
Check out the early release:
`npm i @pmndrs/klipp`

One more demo! Searching through 100k JSONs in real time. The code was written mostly traditionally, then transformed into actual WebGPU matrices to massively parallelize the JSON search. The regex, JSON parsing, highlighting & matching are all one giant exact neural net

Sneak preview of next gen Sparkjs. This is all webgpu in browser with millions of splats, dynamics, dynamic lighting. This would be sick in VR as part of a live music demo .... I think that's gotta happen sometime.

First test of the new black hole device...
@JussiKemppainen asked yesterday why I am not filling the SDF explosion holes with particles. If it's worth doing, then it's worth overdoing :D

We are releasing → classcad.ai today: AI driven embeddable CAD. If you ever enjoyed my OSS projects (zustand, react-spring, r3f, pmndrs), these all came out of CC. 🍻
A small 🇨🇭 team has been working on CAD for so many years, release seemed always out of reach. This is a huge milestone for us and i'd appreciate a RT. 🙏

As promised, the #threejs Cyberpunk Project got an update, and the source code is now available. You can download it, learn from it, or feed it into your AI if needed. @sea3dformat and I documented every important aspect and created specific agent instructions with Do's & Don'ts.

Soon, frontier models will let almost any developer vibe-code a clone of our Utsubo website.
By then, Utsubo won't even feel like a website. It'll feel like an interactive movie.
The web is evolving fast: stop recreating reality. Capture it, transform it, make it interactive.

🤖 Made with AI
Volví de la primera Three.js Conference con la cabeza llena de ideas.

The first ever #threejs conf is a wrap and here's my report. As an outsider to the world of the interactive 3D web, this might be a weird perspective on everything I saw. So, brace yourself, threejs nerds!
The conference was held in Paris, I only had to give a brief 2 minutes talk to showcase Unbound Loop, which made for a perfect excuse to sell this to my family as a vacation ✌️
The threejs community has been very welcoming to Unbound ever since we showcased our tech ported to the threejs webgpu backend. In these dire times of divisive feelings towards AI, finding a genuinely curious audience feels amazing, and the mood at the conference was no different.
Make no mistake though, it's not like the threejs community as a whole just unconditionally *LOVES* AI. Skepticism is still tangible, but after exchanging opinions with some of the folks there, the sentiment seemed to lean towards giving a fair chance to new tech, as long as it's useful.
It was not a game-dev conference btw, yet there were awesome games being showcased.
This is probably the real convergence in the force happening around threejs right now:
The clash of people with all sorts of backgrounds sharing their love for interactive content on the web, reminded me of the flash era of game development.
It's not by coincidence that we decided to focus our brief Unbound Loop showcase on the similarities between flash and the explosion of creativity happening around threejs + AI right now.
Access to game development really feels like a solved problem, but I made my case that gen-AI hasn't solved artistic intention yet. That's the missing piece to a flash renaissance, hence why we're building our tools.
Folks seemed to resonate with this, the conference was a great opportunity to validate our core mission.
Aside from all that, it was just awesome to see so many people having such a good time. Artists, designers, font-end, back-end and game developers all just sharing a common passion for interactive 3D and story-telling.
Once again, thank you threejs and threejs-conf for being so welcoming to us!
And for those that did not catch the link to Unbound Loop while I was on stage (because the video didn't actually loop, eheh, the irony), it's loop.unbound.io
Give it a shot and tell us what you think!
