Warmest congratulations to @MarkJCarney and the entire Canadian people on Canada Day. This day celebrates a nation that has become a shining example of unity, democracy, and the defense of freedom.
Throughout its history, Canada has become home to many Ukrainians, who today form one of the most influential Ukrainian diasporas in the world.
Canada stands with Ukraine in our most difficult times, providing financial and defense assistance, humanitarian support, and playing a vital role in ramping up pressure on Russia through sanctions.
We are deeply grateful to all Canadians for this unwavering commitment and valuable contribution. Together, we are stronger. Together, we stand for the values that unite our nations.
Happy Canada Day!

This is Patrick Chan's Journey to the Order of Sport:
Captivating audiences around the world with his technical precision and refined artistry, Patrick Chan reshaped the potential of men’s figure skating as a competitive sport. Born in Ottawa in 1990, Patrick discovered a natural talent for skating when he began taking lessons at the age of five.
Encouraged by his parents, who had immigrated to Canada from Hong Kong before he was born, Patrick trained rigorously with esteemed coach Osborne Colson to master skating fundamentals. Developing a unique style, he began using the edge of his blades to achieve superior elegance, speed, and clarity while moving across the ice.
Transforming meticulously honed technique into poetic and emotionally powerful performances that held spectators spellbound, Patrick Chan pushed the boundaries of men’s figure skating with innovative jump combinations and seamless footwork.
Mastering notoriously difficult moves like the quadruple jump, he raised competitive and artistic standards every time he stepped onto the ice.
The 'Journey to the Order of Sport' campaign is proudly supported by Everest Funeral Concierge, a champion of lives well played.
Join us as we celebrate the spirit of exceptional sport heroes who have conquered challenges, shattered records, and inspired generations. Register for the livestream and take part in history: eventbrite.com/e/68th-annual…

To spend Christmas surrounded by loved ones is a dream come true...
This time of year holds a lot of meaning for our family. On Christmas of 2015, Tareq made his way to Antigonish, Nova Scotia alone, in search of a safe place for our family to rebuild our lives.
We went from losing everything in Damascus to the Syrian war, to be refugees and then the journey of rebirth in Canada. In war everything becomes about displacement – displacement from our normal lives, our work and from the people we leave behind or lose forever.
We were lucky to make it out alive and despite everything, it brought us all a glimmer of hope when Tareq, as the first member of our family made it to Canada, landing in Nova Scotia, followed by Isam, Shahnaz, Batoul, Ahmed and Taghrid — a brave decision that would change the trajectory of our family.
Today, 8 years later, we write this note from our home in Antigonish surrounded by 32 family members filled with gratitude and big dreams! In Canada, we have a chance to live again and to celebrate together – a gift we don’t take lightly.
We can’t express how much rebuilding our life, and our chocolate business means to us. We could not have done it without the community in Antigonish and you, reading this.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for buying our products and sharing our story. You are helping to spread peace and bring hope to others on similar journeys to rebuild their lives, one piece at a time.
From our family to yours, we wish you a peaceful and joy-filled holiday season. 🎄☮️❤️
