Last quarter, we gave $5.7k in grants to ambitious young builders.
From low-cost bio printers to small planes that fly forever, they've been absolutely crushing it.

I made a UK Trains MCP Server so you can find out if your train is delayed with Claude!
Run:
claude mcp add --scope user --transport http trainiac api.traini.ac/mcp
I also re-deployed the Grafana dashboard at traini.ac
I started recording everything happening on UK rail🚆

we were one of the three companies that did the live pitch and got a check on stage.
here’s some things that I learnt at yc that helped me get a check live on stage!
- investors are humans, don’t be a jester have fun and converse with them
- it’s your company! you built it, nobody in the world should be more passionate than you talking about it, if you’re building a company you don’t love, nobody will work with you, invest in you or use you
- love your customers. forget cac, ltv, arpu abcdef whatever. tell a story about a customer, why does someone use you, why do they love you?
funmaxx, love your company, build something people love and you’ll win
Two days ago, @insforge was one of three companies from the current batch invited to do a live pitch at YC.
I totally undersold us for the first 10 minutes.
I sat directly across from Yuri Sagalov (Managing Director at General Catalyst), on stage in front of an audience of 100+ other YC founders.
I started off talking about what I thought was most impressive, our platform:
• What InsForge provides
• How the primitives work
• Why we believe cloud infra must be agent-native
Immediately, @yuris started grilling us, analyzing and questioning product details. He started driving the conversation.
Then, I finally brought up our traction:
- 31,000 total projects built on InsForge.
- weekly active projects just doubled to 4,000.
- gained 8k GitHub stars in 2 months.
- revenue recently tripled.
His whole demeanor changed. He stopped the product questions entirely and pointed out that we could have saved 10 minutes diving right into our traction. Once he realized we had thousands of legit users, not just a handful of beta testers, the conversation completely flipped.
The best founders start off their pitch strong and drive the conversation where they want to go.
Thank you to @amiklas and @ycombinator for the opportunity!
