At @databricks , our infrastructure team had a practice called “Code Red.” When we experienced multiple major reliability incidents or Sev-0s within a short period, we paused normal roadmap work and made reliability the entire team’s priority.
EVERYONE worked together to understand the failures, brainstorm improvements, fix systemic issues, and strengthen alerts, dashboards, testing, and operational processes.
Given the recent GitHub-related incidents. I really think they should follow the process...

Our co-founder and CTO @tonychang430 has the highest-end MacBook Pro but still runs his coding agents on cloud infra.
Even 4 coding agents running in parallel on his laptop would choke. On cloud, he's running 10+ parallel agents often.
Agent usage is simply outgrowing local machines. If you're doing any intensive coding workload, you need the cloud ☁️

Self-hosting just got a lot better @InsForge.
InsForge now has S3-compatible storage backends for self-hosted deployments. Self-hosters can connect AWS S3, Cloudflare R2, Wasabi, COS, OSS, Ceph, and more.
We're constantly working on making it easier to self-host end-to-end.

A developer emailed us after his app exceeded Free plan limits.
His database, storage, and compute were almost un-utilized. But his project had hit 5.8GB / 5GB limit on egress.
So he asked, “Is it possible to only purchase egress?”
He was still prototyping, hoping to launch the product soon, and paying for everything out of pocket. $25/mo to upgrade was a real cost.
So @tonychang430 and I looked at his app and realized most of the egress was coming from loading an unnecessarily large amount of data.
We emailed him back to help him as fast as we could.
We gave him a full reset of his monthly egress limit and also added a new egress optimization skill to @insforge.
He just had to update to the latest InsForge skills and ask his coding agent:
“Help me optimize my app to reduce InsForge egress usage.”
From there, the agent identified the main issues and fixed them.
He said our email “set a positive tone" for his day, the reset helped him stay focused, and we motivated him to tackle to-do items he had been putting off.
He even added us to his list of people to share the app with before launching publicly.

I can't believe we grew from 0 -> 45k projects in our first year
We thought "we made it" when we hit 500 users after a "viral" Reddit post
(it got 22 upvotes)
We've officially hit 1 YEAR since our first commit to the @insforge repo.
Since then, we've grown to:
• 45k+ total projects
• 4k+ weekly active projects
• 12.7k+ GitHub stars
And we continue to grow 10% WoW.
If you showed me and @tonychang430 these numbers back in August 2025, we actually wouldn't have been surprised.
Because we knew we were onto something huge.
(We wouldn't have quit our full-time jobs at Amazon and Databricks otherwise)
We're so excited to keep growing exponentially and keep building for the people who saw the same thing we did:
