A beautiful thing. Round with two halos, these things are addictive I will never forget my first crystal firing, I stuck everything to the shelf but the excitement was overwhelming! It still is exciting to see what has grown in the kiln but a… bit.ly/2IoPfUn

Dreaming of a little bit of sunshine to get back making plates.
These take a long time to dry and flip over ready for finishing, my studio is currently in a basement in damp Northern Ireland.

It takes about 3 weeks from start to finish to make one of these. Yesterdays handle video is the final making stage, then it sits to dry for a week before its first firing. Then its base is dipped in wax then glaze (this is my pale blue, also can come in… ift.tt/2ZhVeEO
