Sitting here on a warm September night looking out on my NYC and feeling wistful, nostalgic.

We are happy without Crosby. That Vega pick is going to be looked back on as edc’s best pick and that’s saying something because he drafted Kyle Hamilton

There are two answers that can be accepted. Jim Thorpe and Bo Jackson. That’s the list. 3rd place would be Herschel Walker in my book.

Does Jesse Minter need to give up play calling amid Ravens defensive struggles? We asked Marvin Lewis what that could look like:
“Ray Lewis and Rod Woodson would run my meeting… I could drop dead on the sideline and those dudes could call the game.” #RavensFlock

Breakaway Takeaways vs BOS:
- NYR hockey is back and this game was extremely low event until BOS decided to score three right at the end
- Thought Igor was pretty good all night and everything else needs a bunch of work
- A largeeeee amount of 2 on 1s let on by NYR
- NYR really only had like... 2 good scoring chances?
- I'm not here to flame them early, I know there's a lot of adjustment to do and they kept it 0-0 till late but the ending is a big time yikes
- I liked little things, not too much, but there's some small stuff... they scored 0 goals, I guess that's the whole point huh?
- We'll have BSB OT up in a little bit on Patreon, it will be mostly miserable!
- Happy to be back!!!(?)
Your thoughts???

If you have not heard this news story, it is pretty big in the chemistry world. Being able to break down polyethylene cheaply is a big deal. It makes waste plastic more valuable, which makes it less likely people will just throw it into rivers where it flushes into the oceans.
Polyethylene contains approximately 46 megajoules of chemical energy per kilogram (about ten times the energy content of TNT by mass) stored stably in its carbon-hydrogen bonds rather than as explosive potential.
The Oak Ridge molten-salt process announced this week is essentially an engineered way to release that energy as liquid fuel rather than letting it sit in a landfill.

Reflecting on my trip. It’s no doubt that the Cowboys are a worldwide brand but man…. Ravens fans made up just as much- if not slightly more- of the fanbase at the game (yes I’m aware why don’t mansplain it to me). It was a beautiful sight to see

Zay Flowers had 6.0 Yards per Route Run in W3, which lowered his season average to 9.36.
Let's do this another way...Zay Flowers' ranks among WRs with 10+ targets:
YPRR: 9.36 (1st, JSN 4.25 is 2nd)
YPT: 19.5 (1st, London 16.1 is 2nd)
Passer Rating:: 146.5 (5th, Samuel 158.3)
YPR: 23.4 (2nd, Doubs 24.2)
He's been the target on 12 of 25 routes he has run. He made a 1st down on all 10 of his catches.

That time the Redskins won the Super Bowl and President Reagan just fired a fucking dart that hit Ricky Sanders in stride. ‘Merica, motherfucker.

Lamar should run.
Lamar should always run.
Lamar should run every chance he has to run.
Steely Dan released their sixth studio album, “Aja” on this day in 1977. It is still recognized today as a masterpiece in sound and engineering. “Deacon Blues” is a personal favourite of mine.
What are your thoughts on this album?
What are your favourite tracks?

Thrilled to hear that Andy Green has been given a three year extension to stay on as manager. A.J. Ewing told me recently that Andy is the best motivational leader for whom he has ever played. I think he’s done a splendid job challenging and pushing the youngsters and getting his pitchers out at the right time. Zac Thornton said that getting that double play ball from Anthony Volpe to get through the 7th inning for the first time thanks to Andy leaving him in the game at that point helped him grow up a bit making him feel that he belonged. @Mets made a great decision.

Just drove through Clinton, Iowa, and stopped at @Culvers. After Lara finished taking my order, she looked at my sweatshirt and said, “I’m old enough to know who Walter Payton was.”
I told her, “That’s my dad.”
She freaked out!
Then 17-year-old Ze lost it, too. He told me WP was his favorite football player.
Before our food even came out, I took pictures with everyone. What a special, unexpected moment.
Thank you, Lara & the entire team for making my day. 🙏🏽
@WalterPayton, you have no idea the impact you left down here. Your legacy continues to touch people in places you never imagined. 🙏🏽

Australian band Zoot giving a near NWOBHM/Kill ‘Em All cover of The Beatles classic ‘Eleanor Rigby’ back in 1970. A ripping cover that for me rivals the original.
Bonus: Rick Springfield, of ‘Jessie’s Girl’ fame, & much more, on guitar/backing vocals!
Aussie royalty!

If you don’t think some guy in a windbreaker with an .063 career batting average feebly trying to hit Nolan Ryan was entertaining we’ll have to agree to disagree …
