Hey @grok, is it true that during the Great Arab Revolt of 1936–1939, the keffiyeh served as a Palestinian Arab version of 'the brown shirts', a symbol of terror against political rivals and Jews?

Right. Zionists would be put in jail under communism.

Mohammad's marriage to Safiyya bint Huyayy, a 17-year-old Jewish woman, was a grotesque display of his predatory nature.
After slaughtering her father, Huyayy ibn Akhtab, and her husband, Kinana ibn al-Rabi, Mohammad "married" Safiyya the same day, still smeared with the blood of her family.
This wasn't romance,it was war booty rape. The Quran itself (33:50) explicitly permits Mohammad to take women as "spoils of war," legalizing his sexual conquests. Safiyya's "conversion" to Islam was coerced under threat of death, hardly a free choice. Mohammad's actions weren't those of a prophet but a warlord using religious rhetoric to justify pedophilia and mass murder.
His legacy is one of violence, not peace.

Sky News, here, bizarrely somehow forgetting that the Mandate ended in 1948.
They’re called “Israelis” these days, chaps. Keep up.
Could Palestinian voters tip Israel's election?
Sky's @adamparsons looks at whether Palestinian citizens of Israel can turn their votes into meaningful political influence in this week's election

You cunts didn't even give Israel a chance to bury their dead before you started coming at them. Fuck you and your rapist heroes.
Replying to @Glinner
How is it antisemitic to say you disagree with people being killed en masse? I was waiting for him to tell a joke about crazy old Benny Yahoo or something. Antisemitic? Clutching at straws Graham.

Let’s PRETEND all Palestinian claims against Israel are true
Which they’re not
“Palestine” is a front for Islamic imperialism that masquerades as caring about statehood in order to advance muslim expansion across the world
But let’s pretend
Let’s pretend Israel “took Palestinian land”
The Palestinians are akin to a man who tried to stab you to death. You disarmed them. You gave back the knife and asked for peace. But they didn’t want peace. They tried to stab you to death again. You disarmed them again and returned the knife. But they tried to stab you to death again and again. Each time you gave them back the knife. But they tried to stab you to death again and again and they say they will ALWAYS try to stab you to death.
At some point Israel held onto the knife
Now the Palestinians cry “Thief! Thief! They stole my knife! It doesn’t belong to them!”
Technically this would be true
But there is a higher moral law at work - the right to not be stabbed to death by lunatics
And so Israel has every right to hold onto a knife, a hilltop, a territory, if that land gives advantage and is being used by enemies to exterminate the Jews
So even if Palestinian claims about “their” land were historically and legally accurate - which they are not - they have no right to use that land to plot more October 7ths - nor would you or any other country allow them the territorial advantage and strategic capability to do so
Ultimately - if you don’t like the situation - your energy would be better placed trying to change the racist, jihadist, murderous society of Palestinians
Only when that intent is modified can there be a start to any kind of conversation

I know it's simply abuse but I can't help myself.
Owen Jones is an utter cunt.
His reaction to a report on Jew hate against children - children! - is to do everything in his power to dismiss it.
Cunt
Let me introduce you to a fellow named Max Naumann.
In 1934, Naumann, a German Jew, urged fellow Jews to support Adolf Hitler. He defended the Nazi regime even as it persecuted Jews, and actually petitioned Hitler for the right of Jews to fly the German flag.
In 1935, the Gestapo dissolved his organization and threw him in prison, where he attempted suicide. He died of cancer in 1939, before the Holocaust, but not before discovering how little his loyalty to the Nazis was worth.
I'm not comparing Abdul El-Sayed to Hitler. I'm questioning the idea that a Jewish endorsement is, by itself, evidence of what's best for Jewish safety.
From the Hellenizing Jewish elites of ancient Jerusalem to Jewish supporters of Iran's Islamic Revolution, we have examples throughout our history of Jews aligning themselves with political movements that ultimately turned against them.
Their motivations differed, as did the consequences. But there's a lesson in Max Naumann's story that's worth remembering.
Being Jewish has never made anyone immune to being catastrophically wrong about what's good for Jews.

We know how much it matters to live in a country where our rights are protected, where the law applies equally to everyone, and where the majority can’t just decide that some people don’t deserve the same freedoms. The safety and freedom we’ve found in America didn’t happen by accident. They exist because of democracy. And protecting democracy means protecting Jewish safety, too.
We know what happens when those protections start to break down. When courts are weakened, elections are undermined, and people lose equal protection under the law, minorities are often the first to pay the price. Jews have seen this throughout our history. It’s one of the reasons so many of our families sought refuge in democratic countries.
That’s why I find it so alarming to see what’s happening right now. When masked government agents are taking people off the streets and citizens are being shot in public, we should all be worried about where things are headed. As Jews, we know that when a government starts targeting certain groups of people, no one should assume they’re safe from what comes next.
Mike Rogers has chosen to align himself with a movement that is willing to attack our democracy. He stood with Trump and refused to accept the results of the 2020 election. And now we’re seeing what happens when a political movement treats the rights and dignity of certain people as disposable. For Jews, these things should set off alarm bells.
Jewish safety is tied to the health of our democracy. We can’t protect one without protecting the other. And in this Senate race, Abdul is the candidate who understands that and is willing to fight for it.
