Many great developers write code in their spare time; many great developers don’t – do what works for you, and what you enjoy, rather than trying to follow a hacker stereotype that isn’t relevant any more.

It’s been a privilege to watch @audreycode work through all 39 Hacking with Swift projects. She’s hit problems, but worked through them and continued on stronger – probably the most important skill for any developer.

Congratulations! You’ve written several thousand lines of Swift, learned about UIKit, SpriteKit, CloudKit, Core Image, Core Graphics, Core Data, Core Motion, and more. Hopefully you’ve kept all your projects for reference, and can now take a break before planning what’s next :)

CloudKit is some seriously advanced Apple technology – take your time with that project! (Also, ignore my screenshots; they are a little old :D)

@audreycode Hi Audrey! I watched your video about your journey with swift. Glad to know you are making progress. I am also walking same path with you. I will be glad if we can share knowledge and work together.

Well done for making it past 30! 30 was where the original HWS ended; 31 to 36 or so introduces changes in iOS 9, and 37-39 covered a few important things missed in previous 36 chapters. Warning: 33 and 38 are tricky, and I think I need to update screenshots for 33.

Here's a video snippet to give you an idea of how it looks. Go forth and play with shaders in SpriteKit!

OK, I have to admit I’m enjoying Pokken Tournament DX far more than I had anticipated. I hope there’s some DLC!
