Just letting you know that the Department of Environment (DOE) has banned Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports from being downloaded because of “national security” reasons. This means rural, coastal & indigenous communities will have the hardest time assessing EIAs.

Stripe obsesses over API design. For Stripe Sessions we turned our well-worn API design principles into an app that reviews your API for $2. We liked it so much we’re making it public for 30 days. api-reviews-by-stripe.vercel…

Sci-Hub is an evil website that pirated 85M+ research papers and made them freely available And now they've added AI to their database to make Sci-Bot. It answers your questions using latest, full-text articles. But DO NOT use it. We should all try to make billion-dollar academic publishers richer. I'm putting the link below so you know how to avoid it.

The funniest thing about TurboQuant is that not only is none of it new, every part of what we've implemented is very old. We are just rediscovering tricks video game developers had to use in the 90s. FWHT decorrelation → DCT in JPEG/MPEG decorrelation Lloyd-Max 16-centroid codebook → 256-color palette (VQ codebook) Norm + quantized unit vector → Quake's norm vector table 128-elm blocks with 4-bit indices → S3 texture compression ADC lookup table (VecInfer) → Dot-product LUTs for lighting Per-block scale factor → ADPCM audio (scale per block + quantized residuals)

Meet Ibrahim Arief. A top-tier Indonesian engineer involved with some of the nation's best-known tech unicorns. Now he's under arrest, awaiting trial in a politicized case that's deeply hurting Indonesia's reputation. His story is distressing. 1/6

Seeing everyone geek out over n8n and I can’t help but wondering if the AI hype is how we finally get everyone automating their workflows (99% of which don’t need AI) and unlock the gains RPA was promising all this time 🤣

Probably “hot” take: If the vibecoders provided an engineer with as detailed of a description as the prompt they lovingly crafted for Lovable / Bolt etc, they’d get a well-implemented feature as well. The problem has always been vagueness / undefined scope.

I often rant about how so much of cloud is a rip-off, but @Cloudflare is the exact opposite. I keep thinking we're getting away with robbery: So much utility, such small bills. @eastdakota has cracked some magic code! 🤘

.@KLCCConvention “amazing” policy not allowing exhibitors for #LevelUpPlay to set up their booths on the day before the exhibition due to footwear. It’s clear y’all care more about people’s feet than their games🦶🦶🦶

"As a Malaysian, the game’s depictions of Ting’s home, neighborhood streets, and local markets resonate deeply with me, capturing the essence of life in early 2000s Malaysia." That's exactly what we were trying to invoke in the game. Thanks so much for the lovely review 👏🙌
Paper Ghost Stories: Third Eye Open stands out with its rich cultural elements and unique plot, providing a fresh and engaging experience for gamers, while also offering a rare portrayal of Malaysia in video games. Our review: bit.ly/3XwtVDY
