Dhruv Rathee raised these serious questions to Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar and other celebrities What is the point of being a celebrity if you cannot raise your voice for people’s rights, speak up for your country, or stand against the problems faced by ordinary citizens? Is fame and money more important than the people who made you a star?

The illegal and messy aspects of the massive SIR exercise across 26 states putting crores of people in distress, including the election duty officials, is nothing but MoShah's governance by anarchy. The practice of State led anarchy has been perfected with Gyanu's help.#stateanarchy

Saurav and Ashutosh remain in judicial custody as their release plea goes unheard. There are deliberate delays, procedural irregularities, and a hearing derailed by an alleged threatening message instead of the merits of their release.

Cyrus Broacha (@Broacha_Cyrus) questions restrictions on dissent, welcomes the growing willingness of stand-up comedians to speak out, and argues that freedom to question authority is essential to democracy. He also criticises VIP culture, police deployment against young protesters and the use of force, arguing that humour, debate and peaceful dissent must have space in a democracy. The CJP crisis reflects a growing disconnect between Gen Z’s demand for a new political imagination and the limitations of existing leadership. Neither CJP nor the mainstream opposition appears to have fully grasped this emerging shift. From humor as resistance to solidarity across caste, religion, class and geography, these movements point towards a potential third democratic upsurge in India, one that calls for a more inclusive and transformative approach to politics. G Sampath and Ajay Gudavarthy discuss.

VIDEO | Delhi: Reacting to the judicial custody of CJP co-convenors Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, CJP legal head Ratna Singh says, "We have been here since morning. We were told that the entire hearing would take place at 12.00 pm. Today, everything was complete, the verification was done, and all requirements were met. We have been waiting here since noon. The SEM (Special Executive Magistrate) was at the police station by 1:30 pm, but he did not enter the courtroom until 5.00 pm. When he finally arrived, he refused to hear our case on its merits regarding whether Saurav and Ashutosh should be released from judicial custody. Instead, he made arbitrary remarks. The public prosecutor, who had not appeared at the police station for the last four days, was present today. Within about five minutes of the proceedings, the SEM told the court that he had received a threatening message. From that point on, the entire discussion revolved solely around that message. It is clear that this entire episode was orchestrated. They had decided beforehand to come into the courtroom and focus exclusively on this alleged threatening message, completely bypassing whether the formalities required for Saurav and Ashutosh's release were fulfilled. Given how this process has been deliberately delayed and handled, I am utterly disappointed..." (Full video available on PTI Videos - ptivideos.com)

🚨BREAKING : Indian Express launches surgical strike on Dictator MODI🔥🔥 Modi's government is so scared of your posts, it's deleting them faster than you can type 😡 The Indian Express got the data. Between March and July 2026, nearly 1.95 lakh blocking orders went to Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. That's around 1,275 every single day. One every 68 seconds. A year earlier, the same Home Ministry portal sent about 6 orders a day. Six. And when the story came out, the government's own "clarification" made it worse. It said the real number was nearly 2.98 lakh. One order can cover hundreds of posts and accounts. Meta has plugged its system straight into the Home Ministry's portal, so flagged posts can disappear without any human even reviewing them. Bro, my cousin posted a video of the broken road outside his house. Next morning it was gone. No reason, no notice. Now he doesn't post anything 😢 That's what they want. Today it's a meme, tomorrow it's your son's complaint about a paper leak. Modi ji, 56 inch chest, but scared of a 6 inch phone screen? 🔥🔥

On #NewsToday with @sardesairajdeep, NCP (SP) Spokesperson @anishgawande described the push for regime change as a no-confidence motion in a democracy. He also invoked Mahatma Gandhi's principles, calling it a moral battle and saying they would take to the streets. #AnishGawande #BJP #IndiaTodaySocial
