It says a lot about the contrast between Labour and Greens. One is cutting bus fares, taking VAT off energy bills, *finally* starting the long gruel of fixing social care and more public control of water. The other is fighting itself over an appalling internal motion.

Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan said it clearly and plainly in response to the UN passing GA motion 3379 (1975) which also held that Zionism was a form of racism:

That motion was rightly overturned in 1991. This Green motion must also one day be overturned, and until then Labour must refuse to acknowledge, accept or acquiesce in its resurrection and those whose policy it is.

ok i’m sorry but this is insane. the word ‘reverting’ is deeply loaded and implies followers of other religions are somehow wrong. i understand why some converts may want to use it about themselves but for non-Muslims to use it is just ridiculous. SFL has seemingly lost her mind!
The actual term within Islam is "reverting". Just saying.

"Revert" for converts is a modern English term preferred by some (mainly Anglophone) Muslims based on fitrah. Not traditional Arabic; "aslama" means become Muslim. Arabic "irtadda" means apostasy.

A Reform councillor from South London has been recorded calling for King Charles to be decapitated because he “is a Muslim”, while another senior Reform councillor from Solihull said of Asian people: “drag out of their homes, stick them on planes and **** them off to Pakistan.”
It’s part of an undercover investigation by ITV Exposure into Nigel Farage’s Reform UK.
Councillor Dean Miller told us he was heavily medicated at the time due to a chronic pain condition and has since resigned from Reform.
Councillor Raymond Dunning did not respond to our request for comment.
In a statement shared with ITV News, Reform UK said "Where members, activists and councillors have clearly behaved inappropriately, investigations have commenced. In some cases, there have been suspensions and due process must be followed."
"Reform UK has improved and prioritised its vetting procedures, but from time to time, a handful of individuals who do not share our values will initially make it through vetting. This is the same for all organisations."
