The method developed by the @dacomsoc laboratory uses notions of proportional representation taken from Social Choice Theory to identify a representative subset of the original dataset. #ARTIFACTS

Core set selection involves identifying a subset of instances in a dataset that enables a machine learning model trained on the subset to perform similarly to a model trained on the original dataset, but at substantially lower computational cost.

This work proposes a new method to address the core set selection problem in machine learning.
