Update regarding community safety on VGen
UNETHICAL BROKERS:
Happy to say we’ve identified many previously unconfirmed JRUhub brokers, affiliates, and other unethical group accounts and they have all been banned for misrepresenting the nature of their profiles and services, intentionally inviting bad actors, and ban evading.
Big thank you to everyone in our community who has helped to investigate, report on-site, and provide detailed proof that our team were then able to review and take action on. Thank you for helping us keep the community safe!
REMAINING BROKERS:
In the short term, broker discovery has been rebalanced, their withheld funds processed through VGen Payments may not be released until after a commission is complete, and all brokers will continue to not have any invite codes. If any broker accounts mistype themselves as an individual or studio, they will now be suspended for at least 1 month immediately upon discovery.
We are still evaluating whether additional long-term actions are required.
Please do not assume all brokers are bad. However, if you do see suspicious behaviour, please continue to report them on-site and we will investigate.
ARTIST INVITE CODES:
There is now a hard limit of 2 unused artist invite codes per Verified Artist at any given time. If you earn more through a challenge or special event drop and you already have 2 in your dashboard, you won’t receive any more.
ARTIST CODE GIVEAWAYS:
Effective Nov 1, 2026, general contests, raffles, or applications are no longer allowed, even if recipients are screened. This is due to the increasing sophistication of groups who fraudulently misrepresent themselves as individuals.
If you see someone hosting a raffle or are in violation of our Artist Code Policy in any way, please report them on-site with a screenshot or link to their violating post and we’ll investigate. Their first offence will result in a warning before more severe administrative actions may be taken for repeated offences, including losing verification status and suspensions.
Please see our full VGen Artist Code Policy here: help.vgen.co/hc/en-us/articl…

"What was your biggest impact on the internet?"
Gotta be this one. Across all platforms, all times I've shared it, it's at like 30 million views. And that's just from MY posts of it lol.

I genuinely cannot believe that one of their marketing strategies is to spread false info about vgen. Vgen has always taken 5% and the other fees are taken by paypal/stripe. They are accusing them of taking 15%
You can promote without having to resort to underhanded tactics
So vgen takes a 10 - 15% fee on top of paypal taking a 5% fee if you pay through vgen through paypal. The artist can choose to price the fee into their price and charge the customer, or they can eat the fee and take less money. Our solution is both parties pay part the fee. And our fee will be 5% - 8%, not 10% +
a bit of a darker post from me, but I'm not exactly the most mentally healthy lmao. I have written up a bunch of 'how-to' docs for my SO in the unlikely event that I expire. There's an extensive one how to log in to my VGEN to refund folks lmao
Guys, please, if you're going to do commission art on VGEN, please do the necessary research before complaining about the fees.
I'm so tired of this being made into a big deal every other week.
kindly fuck off lmao
there is nothing 'ethical' about being a broker. the audacity to try to claim your broker website will be a better alternative to vgen is laughable
sorry not sorry, but i'm not about to let your scammy little business spread misinformation about vgen
guys, jiang atelier is just another psuedo broker group lol
lol
WE ARE MAKING A VGEN ALTERNATIVE SITE!
After Vgen support gave us a lukewarm, unsatisfactory answer in addressing the broker issue, refund issue, and our verification status issue, our coders have decided to make a vgen alternative site.
- real humans will vett every artist
- it will be as close to mihuashi's terms as possible without stealing
- fees will be incredibly low and taken 50/50 from the artist and customer like mihuashi
- search by price, type, duration
- extremely customizable and detailed profiles
