This tweet struck a chord with me, and while I don't often get personal on the Tweeters, given the point made here, I feel it's important. So here we go. Happy #pridemonth. xitter.cf/jpbrammer/status/87146…
Confession: When I was younger, I never really bought into the idea of "pride."
It does seem silly, until you think about politicians hitting themselves in the head with hammers.
Male R candidates need to be carefully vetted for handsomeness, facial symmetry, good gonial angles, clear skin, trim build, thick hair.
Basically 99% of the GOP candidates who lost failed the most basic looksmaxxer test, even when adjusted for age.
This seems silly, but I want you to remember who the customers are for the product the GOP is trying to sell.
Brandon Gill won easily for a reason. Adbul did too, for a similar reason (although his manlet muscular appeal is lost on me)
I'm not kidding, I think Clavicular should be consulting on America First candidate physiognomy.
By this logic, Brendan Carr should be facing about 217 life sentences
President Trump said he is ordering the Department of Justice to "look into" what he describes as threats by Democrats to impeach senior Republican figures, calling them "extortion at the highest level." Read more: cbsn.ws/4zdq6TP

Law represents California's "latest attempt to flout" 1A, Meta says.

Burnham is in fact widely celebrated, not remotely forgotten, here in Chicago.
Come take one of the several amazing architecture or cultural tours!
Replying to @boys_nicholas
I should add that the architect of this masterpiece was Daniel Burnham, one of America’s best ever “Beaux-Arts” architects, unjustly forgotten today and who was also the genius behind ….

Meanwhile Republicans purged nearly every one of their own who voted against this plan
This is insane! Here is a map of yesterday’s Indiana House results if they were drawn under the attempted Republican gerrymander map from last Fall. Thank you to @Vulst3 for breaking down the data to make this map. The gerrymander could’ve netted us a 9-0 or 8-1 map potentially!
Imagine praying because your cheating, philandering, lying, stealing fraudster candidate is losing.
Embarrassing enough if it's just performative. How much more so if their beliefs are sincere.
Understand the impulse, but we would all be better off if Congress moved away from such types of hearings entirely and did real work instead of performative nonsense
Democrats should do the Stefanik college president hearings in reverse. Get college presidents on the record saying that students have the right to peacefully protest and to say controversial--even offensive-- things. Get them on the record that scholars should not punished for their views and that universities will protect foreign students targeted for their views. Demand that the last three years of McCarthyism and cowardice end now.
Oversight is meaningful and important; it of course must be pursued.
But only proactive work to reduce the institutional avenues for censorship and abuse, and to increase the availability of meaningful redress when internal safeguards fail, will help slam the door on censorship.
And yet, in about 12 months, we will once again be beaten over the head nonstop with freakouts about how AI is going to undermine the election, no really, for real this (sixth) time
