.@Google, @Meta sue over Cal. law banning "addictive features" -- including algorithmically recommended content and videos that play automatically -- to users under 16.
Law represents California's "latest attempt to flout" 1A, Meta says.

Meanwhile Republicans purged nearly every one of their own who voted against this plan
This is insane! Here is a map of yesterday’s Indiana House results if they were drawn under the attempted Republican gerrymander map from last Fall. Thank you to @Vulst3 for breaking down the data to make this map. The gerrymander could’ve netted us a 9-0 or 8-1 map potentially!

You are a loser, and this is a loser mentality.
Democrats imported millions of foreigners, handed them a bunch of free shit, and then registered them to vote
They have been planning this for years
We saw the results of this scheme tonight.
If we ever want to win again we need deportations and denaturalizations ramped up on steroids or our country will forever be lost to the communists.

i don't know whether he has the role people are ascribing to him on the Stevens thing, but getting rid of the section of the LSAT was terrible and it is especially bad that this sort of anti-academic standards crap is advertised as disability rights.
Replying to @olivertraldi
Holy fuck. From a locked mutual I learned that Stevens's fiance is responsible for the logic games being removed from the LSAT. Do whatever you want with him

A lot of political arsonists on this site are getting burned by the fires they helped start.

It’s almost if the restrictive laws are the point of “tobacco control”, not the public health outcomes and certainly not the distraction of unintended consequences, which are the main consequences.
"We find no evidence that these laws reduce overall youth ENDS use, frequent use, initiation, or cig smoking. These null results are consistent with online purchasing accounting for a small share of youth ENDS acquisition even prior to policy adoption."

Now ask him if it makes sense for young people to pay for his Social Security
“I’m old. I’ve paid my home off,” said Ray Warner, a 72-year-old Akron resident. “Why would I pay property tax?”
Across the country, homeowners are asking the same question and revolting against property taxes at a scale not seen in a half century.

NYT talk to one person who knows what they're talking about challenge: "So here’s the truth about Katie Zacharia, not-quite attorney-at-law: She graduated with a law degree from Pepperdine University in 2011. That technically makes her a lawyer."
President Trump’s new press secretary, Katie Zacharia, describes herself as a lawyer, and he called her “an attorney.” The New York Times was unable to find a law license for her. In an interview, she said the confusion is the result of a misunderstanding. nyti.ms/3UnhqMh

This extraordinary, unjustifiable and grotesque pressure on Ukraine occurs after Russia, not Ukraine, rejected Trump's energy cease-fire and after Russia rejected Ukraine's cease-fire proposal to hold new elections. The U.S. isn't just "unreliable," it's becoming unhinged.
"Ukrainian troops have been caught off guard by restrictions on Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite internet systems that disrupted frontline operations, while Kyiv received no advance warning from its partners of a Russian missile attack on its energy facilities for the second day running, according to Ukrainian officials.
Starlink terminals used by Ukrainian drone units began experiencing signal failures at speeds above 160kph, disrupting several missions early on Wednesday morning, according to military personnel and senior Ukrainian officials.
'Logistics at the frontline and middle strikes are badly limited,' one senior Ukrainian official familiar with the situation on the front told the FT. Ukraine’s middle strikes target Russian military supply lines and logistics. The limitations came with 'no warning, just in the middle of the night', the official said"

The Ninth Circuit is correct on the law here. But I’ll just point out that the same law would prevent, for instance, Texas from passing a similar law if a future Democrat administration sends masked ATF agents door to door to hunt for gun-related crimes.
Huge win for President Trump and @AAGShumate's team at DOJ: Can California ban federal law enforcement officers from operating in California unless they wear California-approved identification? No, per Judge Bennett. More than likely, the United States is "certain to succeed."

Apart from its barbarism, I don't understand how Hegseth and his defenders can't look even one move down the board and see what a bad idea this is from a strategic standpoint. This isn't chess; it doesn't even qualify as checkers.
