Mhesh, Linda Mama speaks directly to women of reproductive age and their families, not you or those who’ve long crossed into menopause. Under SHA, maternal deaths are rising, TBAs are back in business, and out-of-pocket costs are draining households. You can hate Uhuru all you want, just like you’ll hate Ruto when his time is up, but leave Linda Mama out of your politics. It saved lives. And mark this: the first executive order after 2027 will resurrect it. Enjoy our people’s suffering under SHA while it lasts. But know this, most women give birth at night. The nearest health facilities are dispensaries, and SHA doesn’t allocate beds there. So families pay cash, turn to TBAs, and gamble with life. Sometimes it ends in tragedy; mother gone, child gone, or both. Before you shout, do your homework. When I visit my rural home, when time and money allow, I sit with my village mates and listen. It’s heartbreaking. The ground is bleeding, but the leaders like you are clapping. When the drumbeat changes, the dancers must adjust their steps. SHA is offbeat. It’s time to change the tune. @_shakenya
