There was a brief window in late '24/early '25 using Cursor with tab-complete and the agent panel where I hit flow easier than ever. No getting hung up on syntax, just making the code do what I wanted. Probably peak fun as a developer.

1. shred the chicken with your bare hands
2. Throw it on a tortilla with shredded cheese (add ground cumin if you’re feeling fancy) and heat
You have a made-to-order quesadilla

Turns out it was never an issue! 🚀
Just a misalignment of my mental model for how this works. I wrote an article to help clear it up for others 👍

Thanks for the reply and great article! One followup question that I'm still not totally clear on: What is the purpose of middleware.js? I don't think I totally grasped that from the docs: supabase.com/docs/guides/aut…

@jonmeyers_io you mentioned in a video a few months ago that cookies are not getting piped through to GET request route handlers in Next.js. Do you know if this is still an issue?

I wrote an RFC for a new @nextjs package that would make it easier to load popular third-party libraries 🎉

This was a fun little challenge with a good use case for useCallback. The complete sample is at this Code Sandbox: codesandbox.io/p/github/apav…
Then I can add the handleScroll function as a dependency to another useEffect hook to keep my scroll event listener up to date:
Adding searchLoading as a dependency to the hook kept there from being multiple fetches to the Search API when reaching the bottom of the page. Here's the complete function:
When I first added my handleScroll function as an event listener, the function was always using the same offset value and grabbing the same page of results over and over again. The solution here was to "close over" the search state with the useCallback hook
Someone recently asked me about implementing infinite scroll with @yext's Search UI React library. Putting the sample code together was a nice little React lesson 🧵
