In the beginning, all rejections hurt. But then you realize it’s a numbers game and you start to put wins on the board and you feel more vindicated and then you wonder whether you’ll ever be rejected again and then you get rejected again and then you realize that you’ve built something inside of you called resilience and if you’re not getting rejected are you really pushing hard enough and it is then you realize you need to be rejected and it becomes a barometer for ambition and a fuel. 🤷🏼♂️

Testing the prototype for the past few days and the overnight HRV seems to agree 👀

One of the greatest viruses for founders is scrolling Twitter.
You will melt your brain looking at a barrage of outcomes, funding posts, ARR screenshots, insane launches, with no visibility of the process that got them there.

Something I told 14 yo: You have to be able to throw stuff away to do great work. You never get so good that you get everything right the first time. You have to be able to cut.

Spent some time today experiencing professional recovery at @UltrahumanHQ's Performance Lab.
P.S. It takes ~2:30 hrs, so plan accordingly if you have any commitments afterward.
The process and science are in the thread below.
Excited to share that we have raised our pre-seed round, led by @All_IN_CAPITAL, with participation from @DeVC_Global
Over the past few months, we've spoken with companies building patient calls, referrals, prior authorisations, scheduling, and back-office automation.
They all ran into the same bottleneck: Critical healthcare data is still trapped inside EHRs and payer portals that were never designed for modern AI systems.
That's why we're building Tross. We're building the infrastructure layer that lets healthcare AI companies interact with these systems reliably.
Today, we're already serving 100,000+ API requests every month, and we're just getting started.
Huge thanks to our customers for trusting us early, our investors for believing in the vision, and everyone who made introductions, shared feedback, or helped us along the way.
If you're building AI for healthcare, we'd love to talk.

Your WHOOP and your Oura measure the shadow. @vickipowell left Apple's sensor team to measure the object: cortisol itself, off sweat, on your wrist.

To develop deep intuitions in any domain, you have to go through the grind and the struggle of using your brain.
You really can’t outsource understanding as the whole point of it is to develop and evolve a highly *personal* web of belief about how a domain works.

Two guys lost their float spa businesses to lockdown. So they bolted a chiller to a US$100 bathtub and called it a cold plunge.
5 yrs: US$200M+ in sales, a US$10 domain, a US$2.4M Shark Tank deal that never closed.

What’s important now isn’t how long you’ve been doing the job. It’s how recently you changed the way you do it.

Building agents has the same emotional arc as programming. I start every project thinking it should be easy to get what I want, then end up deep in retrieval quality, context engineering, and cross-modal eval loops before anything actually works.

I was reminded recently of an article by David Brooks in The Atlantic, titled "You Might Be a Late Bloomer." Two paragraphs that have stuck with me:
"We have a notion that the happiest people are those who have aimed their life toward some goal and then attained it, like winning a championship trophy or achieving renown. But the best moments of life can be found within the lifelong learning or quest itself. It's doing something so fulfilling that the work is its own reward. 'Effort is the one thing that gives meaning to life,' the Stanford psychologist Carol Dweck once wrote. 'Effort means you care about something.'
'The secret of life is to have a task, something you devote your entire life to, something you bring everything to, every minute of the day for the rest of your life,' the sculptor Henry Moore once told the poet Donald Hall. 'And the most important thing is—it must be something you cannot possibly do.'"

(#2) On 2 Sept 2025, every installed @QuiltAir got ~23% more powerful overnight. No new compressor, just a firmware push.
A Mitsubishi is the most efficient version the day it is installed but a Quilt gets younger.
