Tried to book a hotel with Muse last night. Hilton's site put my agent in a doom loop โ third retry, I gave up and booked it myself. That's not a bug. That's the whole story of agentic commerce right now.

โ My take: MCP and these agent 'protocols' are irrelevant. It's all just APIs. Machines can either reach your service or they can't. The real fight is business and politics: if you let agents intermediate you, the market becomes perfectly efficient and your business is worthless. Hilton gets this. Amazon gets this.
โ Dave's counter: there's a difference between a platform inserting itself into your life and a tool YOU send on your behalf. Are we building agents, or building agency?
โ Meta and Microsoft just halved their Claude usage. Claude must be so lonely.

Here's what I've learned watching others launch: the early hours decide everything. Support now, before the West is even online, can carry a product all day. That early momentum is the one thing a small team can't manufacture. It has to come from people who choose to show up.
