Thrilled that my Ph.D. work is now published! In this study we delve into the world of monogamous prairie voles to provide insights into the neural plasticity that underlies social bonding and adapting to the loss of bonds, such as the experience of grief.
Excited to share our latest work out in Current Bio led by @annefpierce . We found dopamine is required for seeking out social interaction in monogamous voles, and that a pair bonded partner elicits greater accumbal dopamine release than does a stranger. authors.elsevier.com/a/1iPzr…
