A 36-year-old Costa Rican man is the third detainee to die at a Louisiana ICE facility in less than six months. His girlfriend, sister and a detainee in a nearby cell all told @AP that he was not receiving regular insulin doses for his type 1 diabetes:

In Uvalde, where I’ve been since Tuesday, people woke at 1 a.m. to a blaring tornado alert.
Many walked out of hotel rooms, greeting each other and craning skyward.
Lightning came like machine gun fire. Rain pounded and wind rippled over the pool, but the tornado never formed.

When I wrote this, the main takeaway was Graham is better than almost anyone at keeping challengers at bay. Andre Bauer learned it quick, and other prospects barely got a mention this year.
The vacancy will have to be filled, then a free for all.
