They're starting to realize they can't build a replacement so now they're planning to steal it.

The Laffer Curve strikes again. Rachel Reeves’s absurd increases to stamp duty have backfired after tax receipts from property sales above £5m fell by £541m in the 18 months following her 2024 budget when she raised the second-home stamp duty surcharge to 5%.
Data from estate agents Knight Frank show that in the 18 months subsequent to the budget, the number of sales above £5m dropped by 14% from 2,569 to 2,208, when compared with the 18 months before the budget. Of course it is not just the stamp duty that is lost but also the economic activity that accompanies the property transactions.
Reeves has just signed up to the Chartwell Speakers agency to sell speeches for money. Surely for anyone to buy a speech from her is a badge of idiocy?
If you ever wanted proof Labour is killing the hospitality industry and hurting the average person at the same time.

"We're gonna not buy your games because you shut down a studio whose recent games we also didn't buy!"
Mass Effect fans are calling for a boycott of all EA products and services in protest of the company closing down BioWare and canceling the next Mass Effect game. bit.ly/4siIubW
Businesses need profit to survive, if they lose money for over a decade no one is going to invest in them to keep them going.
How is this a hard concept to grasp.
If BioWare had made successful games they would still be in business.
The amount of people believing this 🤣
#Bioware #MassEffect
So I was told this morning that the new Mass Effect game was 80% COMPLETED! The release date was going to be 2027, N7 Day. 🥲
I was also told that for the first 4 years of development, EA was trying to force them to do a 5-hour Fortnite style game with--

It’s hilarious how manipulative these mfers are
They’re seeing too many people celebrating and are now like: “look, the game you wanted was coming feel bad! Feel bad with me!”
Fuck off! They should have done it sooner
If they don’t prioritize me, why should I prioritize them?
I can confirm this trailer is real #SaveMassEffect
You have no idea how amazing this game was going to be. It was made for us.
You’re talking 2-300 million to get the game done.
No one is giving that studio those funds based on their output. The talent clearly left BioWare years ago.
Stop gaslighting everything to think this game just needs a bit of work.
BioWare have done nothing in the last decade to convince us this would have been a good game.
They’ve dug their own grave on this one.
I can finally talk about Mass Effect Universe.
Since Bioware closed I can now reveal that I was part of the Mass Effect Council, saw what BioWare was building, and provided feedback during development.
• Set 600+ years after the Reaper War
• You play as a customizable N7 agent
• Instead of being a walking gun rack, you're a cross between John Wick and James Bond
• Shepard's legacy preserved, regardless of your ending
• A galaxy divided into three major factions
• Humanity, Krogan, Batarians, and more allied together
• Council races forming their own alliance
• The Geth emerging as a third superpower
• A galactic Cold War instead of another Reaper style invasion with a shadowy adversary
• Geth-built megastructures
• Connections between the Milky Way and Andromeda
• Experimental technology implanted in you as a unique point of difference
• Hacking and manipulating the environment
• See through walls, identify systems, remotely trigger hazards and more
• Handcrafted missions like ME1-3
• But with Hitman-style freedom in how you complete them
• Brutal close-range executions
• Squadmates who can clash with each other
• Romance wasn't being sanitised
• Liara returns - now an incredibly powerful Asari Matriarch
From what I saw, BioWare was making Mass Effect for us, the fans, not for people who don't exist.
It looked incredible.
And now we may never get to play it.

Apple has turned the iPhones stolen from its Lille Store into useless bricks.
After the store was looted during the recent riots in France, the stolen devices were disabled remotely. They now show a warning saying Apple is tracking them and that authorities may be notified.
Stealing an iPhone from an Apple Store probably wasn’t the best idea, but these people lack intelligence.

Completely braindead take from someone that never worked in the industry.
The modern left has destroyed so much of our culture and now that it's in shambles, they're trying to "blame the rich."
The financial illiteracy of people on this app at a time we have access to so much information about it, never fails to amaze me.
This “giants” going under is the change the industry needs. (Wouldn’t put BioWare in that category personally)
Developers have always closed when their products stop making money. This isn’t a new thing and has happened for decades.
Replying to @thormungandr
To see one of the Giants of gaming go under like this used to be unprecedented. Now it feels like it's happening every month. We need change.
Do you think games studios are a charity?
Blaming private equity for not investing in a studio that hasn’t made money for over a decade 🤣
BioWare only have themselves to blame, “woke” choices led to a backlash which hurt sales badly
This isn’t rocket science
