A major event will happen at the end of November as the @Panosc_eu project to make #FAIRdata reality for the PaN community in Europe draws to a close. We did a lot but there is still lots to do. I look forward to continuing building the EOSC with the @eoscassociation!

The PaNOSC closing event (29-30/11, Grenoble) welcomes scientists, PaNOSC & @ExPaNDs_EU contributors, members of @LENSinitiative @LEAPSinitiative, national PaN initiatives, @ESFRI_eu @eoscassociation, e-infrastructures, all EOSC projects, and more! >bit.ly/PaNOSC-closingevent

This will boost #OA worldwide and hopefully set a standard which lasts. The EU has recommended this for years in #H2020 + #he funded projects like @Panosc_eu + @ExPaNDs_EU. Long live #openaccess + #OpenScience!

At the EIROforum at @EMBL Jamie Hall from @ILLGrenoble presenting VISA supported by @Panosc_eu. VISA brings the analysis to the data and users - viva VISA!
At the EIROFOrum workshop @EMBL Martino Romaniello from @ESO showing the positive impact on publications of open data in the ESO data archive. Definitely a success story and makes the case for open data with some caveats like "Open is not enough".

Very pertinent discussion ongoing at the #Osec2022 fully in line with @Panosc_eu . It is obvious that access to data used in publications must be part of the scientific process! I hope the publishers are listening - will find out in the next session ...

Open Data is essential for advancing science but sometimes it gets wrongly interpreted by politicians. Well done to the authors who pointed out the UK governments mistake doi.org/10.1016/S0140-6736(2…

A big thanks to the data managers + web developers from @esrfsynchrotron and @Panosc_eu who developed the Human Organ Atlas data portal home page (human-organ-atlas.esrf.eu/) !

It is a pleasure to be part of of World Digital Preservation day (#WDPD2021) through the Human Organ Atlas data portal - human-organ-atlas.esrf.eu/! 50 datasets available in open access and more to come to cover the entire human body! Well done to the scientists of @hip_ct

Great to see these amazing data being made open so soon after being taken! Well done to the scientific team! Thanks to @Panosc_eu and the implementation of the data policy at the @esrfsynchrotron the data can be downloaded from human-organ-atlas.esrf.eu/ simultaneously!
Seeing the human body as never before thanks to bright #xray New imaging method Hierarchical Phase-Contrast Tomography (HiP-CT) published today in @NatureMethods Congratulations to the @hip_ct team: @uclmecheng and @esrfsynchrotron @ESFRI_eu @cziscience

This training platform will be useful for the @ESRF_FR
Scientists are invited to create new training content in the field of photon and neutron science on pan-learning.org. To learn about the PaN e-learning platform, watch the newly released video by PaNOSC contributor, Stella d’Ambrumenil. 🎥bit.ly/create-your-own-cours…

Very nice paper - impressive to see the end-to-end simulation! It would be great to see the simulation applied to a storage ring source too.
Latest publication with PaNOSC contribution released on Nature @SciReports: Effects of radiation damage and inelastic scattering on single-particle imaging of hydrated proteins with an X-ray FEL. The simulation framework SIMEX was used in the research > bit.ly/3AlUQod

I am glad to see this very important result from PaNOSC i.e. the VISA remote analysis platform! It will benefit the user community a lot. We now need to deploy it at more sites and sustain it!
VISA, the Virtual Infrastructure for Scientific Analysis, is a new way for academic and industrial researchers to access data and advanced analysis tools from anywhere they want. Learn more about its features and how it works >> bit.ly/VISA-video

This paper highlights the potential and importance of sustaining a close collaboration between the science clusters and with EOSC. The EOSC needs their strong participation in order to be useful for science. #HorizonEU was wise to include the clusters at an early stage!
