The latest from my PhD!
Eastern larch beetle is impacting over 1 million acres in Minnesota - 4 new species of Ophiostomatales just described that are associated with this beetle tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.… photo by US Forest Service
A new study from my PhD was just published in Phytobiomes Journal! We repeatedly sampled ash stands in Minnesota over a 4 year period to determine how the fungal and bacterial communities changed as the trees were attacked by the emerald ash borer.

Second day of taking #avocado samples for residue testing. This time we sampled trees that were drenched with the flutriafol product 🧪. Looking forward to seeing the results and hoping concentrations are optimal to prevent the infection, movement, and multiplication of the #laurelwilt pathogen🤞🏻🤞🏻!
