I made this by the way...
My 12 year old son just made this @Tesla Roadster game from scratch by himself using AI.
AI is nuts.

Almost everything you were "forced" to learn when you were young is actually spectacular. From chemistry to biology to mathematics to philosophy to music. That's why adult education is so important.

Agreed 100%. It's problematic that CS majors don't understand how computers work anymore. C/C++ translation to ASM is easy enough to understand. We have debuggers (and godbolt.org) showing the emitted instructions that machine will execute. Python is too far from HW.
Google researcher @lauriewired warns the shift from C++ to Python in universities is creating programmers who don't understand how computers actually work:
"When I was in college getting my CS degree, my year was one of the last years that was using C++ as the core language for teaching students. Actually they were switching over to Python of all languages."
"One of the biggest issues that I have is that a lot of these higher level languages are really abstracting away what is happening under the hood. If you're not aware of how the computers work in general, then you're gonna have problems when it comes to debugging."
"Starting with a language like C++ gives you the ability to do these really high level abstractions, but it also gives you the ability to customize your memory management and get really close to the underlying machine. Especially if you're trying to work in high performance computing, game development, or high frequency trading."
"At C++ conferences, there's almost this fundamental anger response when it comes to mentioning something like C or C++. People start complaining about the complexity of it."

Very nice little project! I played SkyRoads a lot as a kid! Great game! 😄
Made with raylib and Box3D! 💯
Another summer, another little coding adventure!
VectorRoads is a simple remake of the classic SkyRoads, developed using C, Raylib, and Box3D.
I’ve made a video documenting the entire development process, from the first prototype to the final result.

"nearly all of them are letting the AI code now"
If you follow graphics engine programmers on X, including people who wrote the book on Vulkan, or ex unity engineers and ex-AAA custom engine devs, nearly all of them are letting the AI code now…and a lot.
Interesting!
You can get a near production engine together in 6 months instead of 2-3 years. It won’t be as broad as Unreal, but it’s plenty for getting your own game together.
In fact, I don’t see the need for licensed engines anymore. Just build exactly what your game needs without the bloat.
Soon you won’t even need to do even that.

I highly recommend @fabynou ‘s Game Engine Black Books for anyone even vaguely interested in 90’s game technology!
Creator of C++, Bjarne Stroustrup:
AI-generated code isn't ready — it generates more bugs, more bloat, more security holes, and is nearly impossible to validate
"senior developers are already retiring rather than deal with it"
The problem is that even a small prompt change can shift the entire codebase in unpredictable ways
HELP! #raylib maintainers needed!
raylib has grown a lot in the last few years and it's impossible for me to maintain everything; there are some systems that I'd need some help from users with more experience than me!
Thanks for your support! ❤️

After four years full of challenges and hard work, it's time to move on.
I leave with the feeling that the mission is complete. 4 seasons, 3 championships.
I will never forget the love I received from the fans from my very first days.
Catalonia is my place on earth.
Thank you to everyone I met along the way during these beautiful four years.
A special thank you to President Laporta for giving me the chance to live the most incredible chapter of my career.

No entrega deberes.
—Venimos preocupados.
El profesor asiente.
—Yo también.
—Hugo está desmotivadísimo.
—No estudia.
—Porque no le motiváis.
Ah.
Claro.
