🛰️✨ Inspired by @wallacetim's beautiful efforts in 2020, I've put together some stunning images of our changing energy system at sea using Sentinel-1 radar. The one below is the build-out of the world's largest offshore wind farm off the Yorkshire coast! blog.datadesk.eco/p/sky-laps…
I've been exploring how to integrate some ML techniques in data portals, and wrote a two-part blog post about my learning:

I'll be doing a quick demo and hopefully start a discussion about potential AI/ML work in @CKANproject in tomorrow's Dev Meeting (13:00 UTC), come if you are interested:

Next week will be my last one working at the Open Knowledge Foundation (@OKFN).
I leave full of gratitude, but ready for what comes next (after a break!)
I collected some thoughts in a post:

The Digital Services Act is a transparency machine. Platforms have to submit every 6 months a report describing their content moderation activities in the EU. The first reports are in and there’s a wealth of information in there. Thread
Are you using ckanext-spatial and some scary messages started popping up in your maps?
Fear not, a new release is here to make it easier to configure map providers:

Really proud of this one. The biggest value I've always seen in @CKANproject is its potential to be a force for good. Being recognised as a DPG by @DPGAlliance is a huge endorsement to the project and the community
We couldn't be more proud to announce that @DPGAlliance has recognised @CKANproject as a digital public good! Our community tool is officially helping tackle 9 of the 17 global challenges put forward by the @UN. 👏🏿

Frustrat de que no existissin els #ServeisDigitals que volia, vaig decidir crear el que m'hauria agradat trobar:
quanesfesta.cat
Permet consultar el calendari de festes laborals de Catalunya (incloses les festes locals 💃) i descarregar-lo com a ICS i #dadesobertes
🧵
quanesfesta.cat és el que m'hauria agradat trobar al portal de la Generalitat:
* Una única funcionalitat clara, amb disseny minimalista i responsiu
* Opció de personalitzar per localitat
* Descarrega en ICS
* Dades Obertes en brut perquè altres les reutilitzin
Si feu servir quanesfesta.cat i teniu algun comentari o suggeriment, no dubteu a contactar-me, detalls a amercader.net
