Cops regularly ‘canvass’ on the job, and it’s probably extremely effective. Friend in SF had a homeless guy break into his building’s lobby and piss everywhere, the cops came in time to arrest him, but then told them “because of the DA” there was no point in holding him.

One thing I learned in my neighborhood board meeting last night is that MPD officers are recommending The Fall of Minneapolis - the pro-Chauvin, far-right propaganda film - to resident organizations as "the real story" of what happened after George Floyd died.

The entitlement that NJ people have over NYC doing congestion pricing is nuts. Very clear illustration of how people in suburbs believe the city exists to serve them, as some kind of drive through service.
