Anyone know why there are often large numbers of abandoned Lime vehicles (and some Veos) on the 14th St bridge and Boundary Channel trail?

Run for ANC and draft a resolution in support of building more homes in DC
Why not have a way for people to mark this situation in the 311 system? Now, any request can be closed whether or not it was done and there's no tracking.
Hi @311DCgov - I submitted this sidewalk repair request and it got marked as completed but no work was done. Can you please reopen a new one?
Grr - @brookepintodc, don't reduce housing in DC! And we need shelters. This has a lot of community support, and just some very intent (and secretive, IIRC) opposition.
Oh good, per @AlexKomaDC she didn't introduce an amendment about this.
This is terrific! If you go to a DC pool or splash pad, please record if it's open or (especially) closed here!

I'm hopeful that we'll have good enough data on pool/splash pad closures that it can be used for DPR oversight hearings next year to advocate for changes.

As happens with national maps (but far less severely), @Janeese4DC was strongest in higher density areas. I made a cartogram showing her victory with area adjusted to match the actual total votes:
Updated with new shapefile: xitter.cf/alpert/status/20680005…
(Updated cartogram - thanks @joshjacobsondc)
As before, this scales areas to a size matching their vote totals, so high density areas (which went for @Janeese4DC more strongly) reflect their importance.

It mattered to me, for example - I was open to McDuffie, then he decided to write off urbanist issues/constituencies and skip transportation/housing forums just because @ggwash had gone for JLG. If you don't try to win over all voters you won't get voters.
Take: “The groups” as they are often derided actually represent thousands of Washingtonians. Skipping all the forums hosted by organizations that speak to important issues, have broad membership and to whom voters often look for guidance- was a really bad strategy. @maustermuhle @tomsherwood @cuneytdil @AlexKomaDC

More than anything, DC voters don’t want it to be 2010 anymore. We’re tired of the same old fault lines that have defined our politics for a generation. Only with new coalitions, debates, and points of contention can DC actually grow into a new kind of city.

Great explainer. Vote "Free DC Slate"
Just got 2! mailers from them (sports betting backed American Future of Dallas TX). Too much of the council race information is these dark money mailers

E-bikes are delivering culture change. You love to see it! 😎

I ride to my daughter's 20 miles each way and work 10 miles each way with anywhere from 5-15 mph winds. I wouldn't be able to do that on a non eBike
