I wonder if that was an #April Fool’s joke or serious statement? Does anyone know? I would support. As Associate Editor of the #BigEarthData journal I always poke authors on the still common „Data available upon reasonable request“ - it’s ridiculous #geospatial #data #openscience

Happy 25th birthday to MapServer, as today it celebrates its earliest available commit (even though the project goes back to 1994). Here's that commit: github.com/MapServer/MapServ… Thanks to all of the contributors over so many decades! #foss4g ❤️

What people fear about entering Russia is already the new normal in the USA. My colleague in PolSci entered the USA from Europe recently to attend ISA Convention. Her colleagues, all Germans, were forced to open their laptops and show content of their research presentations. 1/

Today we celebrate the 107th anniversary of Estonian independence. It’s a day to remind ourselves that despite all odds, freedom can prevail if it is fought for. Elagu Eesti – Long live Estonia! 🇪🇪

Yay, finally managed to trash my #Python #jupyter environments again. I wanted to reinstall my #dependencies anyway … You are not supposed to mix #conda / #mamba envs with #pip, and #proj / #geos are also fancy candidates, but this is new: “No module named attrs”
