Out now! THE SECRETS ACT. Set among codebreakers at Bletchley Park during WW2, The Irish Times calls it “a gripping read” and it’s a @dubray recommended teen read for January. @chickenhsebooks 📚🕵🏻♀️🔍

You’ll find me mainly on Instagram @alisonweatherbyauthor. I need a more positive place as I process the mess in my birthplace and try to reduce the anxiety of being on sub with my goofy, silly teen boarding school mystery. ♥️♥️

It's been so fun seeing people's take on this prompt, some folks share debut storytellers, others share older books they only just found. Just goes to show a good book can make its way to you at any time!

It's time for DAY 23 #DIKBChallenge24
This week we are sharing prompts with #IrishBookWeek 19-26 Oct. Best wishes to all the Irish bookshops!
Today’s prompt is to post an Irish children’s book by an author or illustrator that you discovered this year.

Had such fun breaking codes and talking books with @WellReadFoxrock students for Readers’ & Writers’ week. They’d all make great candidates for Bletchley - so clever! Thanks so much for having me. ♥️
Day 22 of #DIKBChallenge24. A book by an author you discovered this year. Cheating here - not a completely new discovery to us @WellReadFoxrock but today ALL of our 2nd Yrs got to find out about The Secrets Act by @aliwea ! Thanks for coming to Readers' & Writers' Week Alison! ❤
Making my way to a codebreaking session at @WellReadFoxrock with a heap of clever 2nd years!
How cool is this display?!? I can’t wait to break codes with @WellReadFoxrock’s 2nd years on Wednesday during their Reader’s and Writer’s week. But how lucky were there 3rd years to get @AshiLockie?!?
Just a tired-happy author on the train home from chatting to the wonderful 3rd Years @WellReadFoxrock’s brilliant Reader’s & Writer’s week! Fell in love with the spooky Dark Acadmemia display on the library desk, complete with old newspaper reports on yellow d paper! Need one 😍
So excited for this, but also wish I could stick around to listen to the other great authors!
The rest of the line-up for Readers' & Writers' Week 24 has been confirmed. Joining @d_ruddenwrites we are looking forward to welcoming @aliwea, @AshiLockie, @AmyClarkin and Jackie Fox @fox_lets . @IrishKidsBooks #IrishBookWeek @Oide_English @FoxrockLoreto

So tired of the "America is not ready for a <disenfranchised minority> Presidential ticket" narrative.
Get ready. We are not going back.

Just a reminder to leave reviews - they matter so much! I try to leave at least one a month on Amazon, even though I strive to buy at my local indie as Triona recommends. ♥️
Reviews matter SO Much - nothing helps an author more than book recs & word of mouth.
A massive thank you to EVERYONE who has left nice comments online at GoodReads, Waterstones & Amazon (even when you bought #AGOLOD from your super local indie book shop) ❤️
@Waterstones
Had a fab chat with the amazing @lucyirvine93 yesterday about my teen murder mystery comedy set at a boarding school with missing bodies, secret passageways, Derry Girls-like friend group, and a poorly placed gong. I ♥️ this book and I can’t wait to send it out.
Metal rock fingers, you say?!? 🤔
Seriously, this is guaranteed to be a good one! I’d preorder!
