After 20 years as a carer to a severely disabled young person, I’m now facing barriers I’ve never faced before. Everywhere I go, the answer is “Nimbus.”
No card? No carer entry. No PIP. No Blue Badge. No Carer’s Allowance accepted.
That’s gatekeeping & it’s deeply worrying.

This is a terrifying thread if you have a learning disability.

First: he’s made safeguards for people with learning disabilities **optional**.
Those with “substantial difficulty” understanding or communicating can now be *asked* whether they want to waive their advocate — before they’ve even had support to understand what’s happening.

Very rarely do I post on here…. But I am just so disappointed with @LNER #ChangingPlaces at #Retford station. This brand new facility has been locked up for over 18 months now! This is not fair on those who need to use it. @ChangingPlaceUK @jowhite__

Everyone should be able to enjoy our towns without worrying about the basics.
That's why I’ve urged Government to support more @ChangingPlaceUK toilets across the country.
They’re life-changing for thousands of families and we need more - just like the one we opened in Leyburn.

Yet again @MakeItYork prioritise tills ringing over access. This duct for power cabling too high & steep to get over even with my all- terrain power assist. Would tip you over if you tried in a powerchair 😡 One city for all, eh ? @CityofYork #TakingTheDis
