14 years ago today, Freddie Gibbs was gifted an AK-47 while touring in Moscow, Russia 🇷🇺 (2012) "When I got to Russia, they straight gave me an AK-47, and I was like, what am I gonna do with this? I don't wanna get caught with this, go to no Russian jail. And they was like no, no, no, you Gangsta Gibbs, you need to have this. So cuz I'm Gibbs, they just felt like I just needed an AK-47 with me at all times and I was like, okay, cool."

Studying Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen to learn about good storytelling is like studying smut novels to learn how to get closer to God
Inde Navarette says she studied anime — including ‘Jujutsu Kaiden’ and ‘Demon Slayer’ — to learn more about screenwriting & storytelling. “I learned about timeline and about storytelling—how a person can have a monologue at the beginning of the episode that matters two episodes later or even at the end, and that person's dead and you don't learn it until then—and then attaching that to my screenwriting and trying to learn that way.” (Source: hollywoodreporter.com/movies…)

The weird British sentimentalism about animals always reminds me of this Baldwin line
Correct take. If you value an animal life the same as a human life, there's probably something wrong with you and you should get help. A likely ill, disabled or psychotic human being gets eaten alive and freaks feel bad for the tiger. Who gives a shit about the tiger.

I just watched Dracula: Prince of Darkness (1966) and it’s just absurd how gorgeous some of these older classic horror films are

Funny I just came home from playing padel and I noticed a crew setting up for a shoot there. As I was leaving, the casting director approached me and asked if I wanted to play the main character’s friend in this drama that will be released soon. They told me the main character is played by Hania Amir. I refused though because I was hungry and because they said the shoot would take hours and because I hate Pakistani dramas.
Hania Amir’s greatest fantasy is probably to be a valley girl from California.

The Guardian reports that the percentage of British Jews who strongly support Israel increased 13% since the start of the accelerated Genocide in Gaza. Read that again. theguardian.com/news/2026/oc…

Yes the Muslims know exactly how it went, Baybars and the Mamluks broke the Crusader states into oblivion. They captured French King Louis IX like a common prisoner and dismantled your states one by one. Even your own Templar knights lamented that God had abandoned them 😂
Muslims have literally no idea how the crusades actually went for them

If you told me a few years ago that I’d be able to torrent entire HD episodes or movies in 2 minutes I would’ve called you insane. I remember a single torrent used to take me hours back in the day. Torrenting is one of the greatest inventions of man.

My new book, The Architecture of Complicity: How India Helped Israel Conduct a Genocide in Gaza, will be published by @PlutoPress in January 2027. The book shows how India, which presents itself as a leader of the Global South, helped enable Israel’s genocide in Gaza alongside its Western allies. It traces media complicity, diplomatic shielding at international forums and the replacement of Palestinian workers with Indian labour. It also examines how and why Palestine failed to become a national political issue in India. Drawing on previously unpublished military trade data, the book reveals the scale of Indian military exports to Israel during the genocide. It will be available in the US, UK, South Africa and, hopefully, India.

On the *same day* the Cornell Seven drugged and raped Jane Doe, Cornell banned four students (including the President of Cornell @jvplive) from campus for three years for nonviolent, pro-Palestine protests. The same @Cornell officials let the rapists off with apology essays.
HOW DID A UNIVERSITY SUSPEND PROTESTORS AND NOT ALL 7 OF THE GUYS WHO ÐRUGGED AND R@PED A GIRL FOR HOURS AND HOURS!?!? JUST WOW

Mamdani knows the NYPD and ADL call pro-Palestinian speech “antisemitism.” So when he pours more money into “fighting antisemitism,” who does he think they’re going to come after? This is funding to criminalize anti-Zionism, with a progressive mayor’s signature on the check.
The Talmud teaches that anyone who sustains one soul, has sustained an entire world. For generations, Jewish New Yorkers have sustained our city. Today, we are launching the first-ever municipal Strategy to Combat Antisemitism. Together, we will ensure Jewish New Yorkers are safe and celebrated. We will invest in their protection, their history, and their future. Our safety and our thriving are tied together.

What’s funny is we Pakistanis have the paratha roll which is an actual incredible food that originated in Pakistan and works well with our tendency to fill foods with tons of different flavours and sauces. If you want to claim something then claim that instead of a bastardized, hugely inferior version of a staple.
There are Lahoris currently seriously attempting to argue with me that “Pakistani” shawarma is better than actual shawarma. Pakistanis should only be allowed to give opinions on desi food and no other type of food because of their underdeveloped, unrefined, toddler like tastebuds

Don’t think Ghaznavi as a Turkic conqueror ever anticipated that around 1000 years later he’d still be remembered by opposite sides (Islamic nationalists in Pakistan naming missiles after him / Hindu nationalists like CM Yogi here remembering at least twice a week)
VIDEO | Gorakhpur: “Ghaznavi sought to destroy India's Sanatan tradition, not just loot wealth,” says UP CM Yogi Adityanath (@myogiadityanath). “When Mahmud Ghaznavi went to demolish the Somnath temple, the priests told him not to damage the temple or the idol and offered him as much gold and jewellery as he wanted,” Yogi Adityanath said while addressing a seminar on Indian knowledge tradition at Gorakhnath temple. “He (Ghaznavi) said, ‘I have not come merely to loot. Whatever I get, I will take away, but my objective is to destroy India's Sanatan tradition,’” Yogi Adityanath claimed. (Full video available on PTI Videos - ptivideos.com)

I can hardly describe the joy and happiness of the children today as they watched the movie Coco at @phoenixlibrary1 . They were on cloud nine, and I was just as immersed, feeling completely detached from reality for two hours. A simple initiative was all it took to bring back a sense of life, if only for a few moments, far from the nightmares of destruction and shelling left behind by the Israeli occupation in our minds and the minds of our children. Honestly, for the first time in my life, I want to thank myself. Seeing those smiles on the children's faces is truly the greatest treasure in life.
