More than once, sheer luck prevented Trump’s efforts at overturning the election from finding traction, @bartongellman writes. With a small change in circumstance, momentum might have broken his way. on.theatln.tc/xfbCQcH

I get it, but some of us just spent the last 2 years taking stances that have led to repeated attempts on our lives - for demanding guaranteed healthcare, immigrant justice, etc.
Sorry if this lacks empathy, but it’s a privilege if this is their first time. They can do one vote.

Very significant rejection of a bypass-the-vote scenario I described in late September, when the same PA GOP leaders told me it was a live option. This reflects the failure of Trump’s fabricated fraud allegations to take hold. Democracy is winning. So far.

This is kind of cool. Audio version of my new piece, The Election That Could Break America,” read by a professional actor with a much better voice than mine. @TheAtlantic

One image from @bartongellman's excellent and terrifying piece is a cause of mild optimism. He describes election wonks as intelligence analysts. As a former intel-analyst it got me thinking about how merely exposing plots can sometimes discourage attackers and prepare defenders.

So beautiful to see the powerful art that has sprung up across Oakland these past few weeks and to listen to Black and brown residents react to it. #greatwaytospendfathersday @ Oakland, California instagram.com/p/CBtkwL2JUP8/… – at Oakland, CA
