at a certain point you just admit that having a corporate career is unreliable way to make a living. not only does it disrespect you (ego and power jabs), but it also constraints your earnings (every level is capped, no profit share), your ability to diversify (cant have more than 1 job, or monetize ur skills with multiple customers), and it doesn't actually offer the "security" that was promised to 2-3 generations ago as anyone can be laid off, automated, and no employer wants to invest into people anymore. so that's when you decide what's next

This is also by design, the government and corporations dont want the public to be able to grow their own food, the same is true for farmers who legally cannot own the seeds they sow
