Appreciate the acknowledgment, but to clarify, we do not view link as a grift. We are a regulated financial institution, and just provide fair and balanced coverage. That means acknowledging potential risks. This is a similar risk shared by many cryptocurrencies because fundamentally they are not equities and not entitled to protocol cash flows. That said, increased adoption of chainlink would potentially result in more demand for link. For now, demand likely grows in-line with broader crypto activity (Defi/ lending / etc) but as more finance moved on chain, it’s TAM could expand massively

My senses are going off. Something is happening. All of a sudden, Fidelity and BlackRock are putting out promotional pieces on Bitcoin. BlackRock's IBIT just took in $665M in a single day, its biggest inflow in over a year. J.P. Morgan is now predicting Bitcoin will be the best performing asset over the next decade. The Bitcoin bull market is going to kick off in a big way.

They should really make the College responsible for the end result. Right now the college doesn't have any skin in the game if you fail to get a job. They still get to collect for life If they made loans tied to income above minimum wage, suddenly departments would disappear
Finally. Sanity. America will no longer be subsidizing the worst degrees and punishing those who earn useful ones. That's going to reverse: no subsidies for useless degrees. Go get a useful one instead!

One of the thoughts that has kept me up at night for the last five years is that corporate, institutional, and even nation-state bitcoin adoption might not happen slowly and incrementally, but in one relatively rapid wave. There’s just so much capital out there with negative real yield and so little liquid Bitcoin that you could see a very, very large price dislocation the moment even a fraction of that capital moves into the space in a real way. In many ways, having that in mind leaves you prone to being too early and chasing little adoption bubbles as though they were the cusp of this wave of adoption. But that doesn’t mean that the wave won’t hit. Maybe it’s next year. Maybe it’s two years from now. Hell, maybe we’re seeing the start of it right now. Nobody knows. It will be a combination of macro factors, liquidity, alternative investments, unlocked supply, and even individual decisions - for example, a fund like Berkshire taking a large position. Just because it hasn’t happened yet doesn’t mean it won’t happen. I think, by and large, that since the initial adoption wave of 2021, people have been far, far too bearish, expecting cyclicity and diminishing returns. In many ways, that is the precisely the recipe for a zero-to-one adoption wave and a massive price dislocation in a very short period of time. You can point to the power law, but keep in mind that we can, and have in the past, shot straight from the bottom of the power-law channel to the top, which would mean a 10x move from $60,000 all the way up to $600,000–$700,000 over the course of the next year, making Bitcoin a $10-15 trillion asset and putting it on par with gold. There’s no guarantee that, if such a move occurred, it would ever come back down to the bottom of the channel. It could chop sideways for many years until it reached the middle of the power-law channel, or maybe just below the middle, and then pop back up to the top again. In other words, the power law is not incompatible with a rapid, very large price dislocation that never retraces. The major reason that I go so hard on bears and traders is that trying to time Bitcoin cycles is missing the forest for the trees. The only thing that matters is being as allocated as possible if and when this zero-to-one moment of global adoption occurs. And if you got sidelined because you paid some retard chart trader to try to time the market for you, well, your bloodline deserves to be extinguished.

Women are literally addicted to leaving half empty drinks around. Whenever they do that it’s like a shot of heroin to them

The best part is that if they’re formulating risks like that, they’re only one step away from becoming Bitcoin psychopath maximalists.

So many people keep laughing at the idea of $500k to $1M+ Bitcoin. They were the same people who laughed at the idea of $100k Bitcoin. One day, they will laugh again at the idea of $10M+ BTC after we crash from $2.1M to $630K. They laugh. I just keep stacking.

strategic bitcoin reserve act targets 1m BTC. there are 2.709m BTC on exchanges right now, a 7-year low. the US government is proposing to lock up 37% of current exchange-available supply permanently. bill text drops july 4, procedural vote july 17. even if they only acquire through seizures and stop auctioning confiscated coins, every other G20 nation now faces a race to accumulate before supply dries up further. 53% of circulating supply is underwater and long-term holders control 79%. the sell side is exhausted at these levels and a sovereign buyer just entered the chat
